I would go, but that would mean I need to drive 20 minutes, and i'm not one for moving.

Thanks! I won't go but I will be sure to follow the news.

that sign is a bit innaccurate. Communism collapsed on itself in Russia and still exists in Cuba, Veitnam, Chine, and North Korea albeit in various states of disrepair. Facism and Nazism ended when Hitler committed suicide- its more a cult of personality that doesn't last. I'm pretty sure if the Nazis hadn't been defeated, when Hitler died, his cult would have died out. The civil war wasn't fought over slavery at all, thats a very common misconception.

Sounds like some people (the PW) doesn't know their history.

Slavery didn't end, maybe in this country, but its hardly ended. And I thought Communism, in the Soviet Union atleast, ended because it is not an economically viable system.

I'd be at the front line of the Protests, if only I lived in Pitt. Well, I'm definately going there now!

Let's Go Pitt! End the fucking war, damnit!

Thank you for the link. Finally I see more people that agree with me about war. I've been trying to stop anti-war rallys for years with my small group of fellow soldiers.

You realize that this (two-mile) march crosses past the NROTC office (and, I think, Marine recruiting, two Jewish unions, and a Frat Bar), right? They planned it that way. You KNOW they're just waiting for them to start something. And, knowing Josh, the ROTC office and the frat bar are stupid enough to take the bait.

God Damn the fact that I'll be in LA, I wanted to kick some submariner ass. If anyone here gets the chance, hit Midshipman 3rd class Leonelli and tell him it's from Jake. Please? Double points if you use the gay pride flag hanging across the street from the NROTC office.

Nothing is going to happen in Pittsburgh. I live 20 minutes from the City and they've had anti-war protests down that way before and nothing occured. The people there know that these people want them to do something so they'll get the TV coverage that they want.

And that Frat bar probably wouldn't do anything either because they're all going to watch the Pitt Panthers game that starts in 1hr and 21 minutes.

BTW: Did you know that the Iragi Assembly met for the first time yesterday? Yep, its true! They also stated they want democracy. Go Figure.

Yeah! Great idea! Let's pull out of Iraq and let it descend into civil war, terrorism, crime and anarchy. That would be a great service to the Iraqi people. How proud they'll feel when sunnis go on a shia mosque destroying rampage and the shia respond by rioting and slaughtering entire sunni neighborhoods. They'll know they're resolving their disputes without imperialist foreign interference.

Nice to meet someone from my neck of the woods. Although, I am not as close to Pittsburgh as you are - I'm about an hour and a half away.

You wouldn't be the guy I saw on TV in DC who was getting hosed by pepper spray from five different containers at the same time by the DC police, would you?

Nah, I had an exam in Analysis, so I couldn't skip for the day. I would've liked to, though.

I'm just asking 'cause Mike (the specific submariner I'm after)'d prolly laugh his ass off at it. He's durable enough that he won't care what one or two unruly mobs try.

It is nice to meet people from that area too. Though I may live near Pitt, right now, I'm at a university studying Political Science and History that is 6 hours away in Lancaster County.

I remember going their on a choir tour...
staying in the Alumni House...
eating Belgian Waffles with six girls in their underwear...
and then, the oral sex... just like the damn movie...

Some pretty good looking girls there, but they all seemed to be completely disconnected from reality.

So, yeah, we lost.

Rarne, does this mean you'll do it? Be sure to tell him [CMU] it was from me before you hit him, and only if there's already a riot. He's a nice guy, generally, but you also wouldn't want to risk his not being nice to you.
