Hey it IS a joke. Awesome! Though its kinda long and rambling with no punchline, funny though. I really like the satanists part, that was awesome.

Hahaha. The Illuminati died out by the end of the 19th century. They have no influence over the world anymore.

I have no doubt that this group did exist at one point. Do they exist today? Who knows?

Its hard to say.. Its even harder to tell exactly how much influence they really had...or have. I myself remain extremely doubtful of all these conspiricy theories.

That 33rd degree mason guy is cool-looking. Just the right guy to head up an evil conspiracy!

Did anyone else check out this page?:

I might just have to crop out the text so I can have that image of Baphomet.

The Illuminati are dead. It is a game. There might be some fanatics in teh world, but they don't have any influence.

Read "Angles and Demons". Good Illuminati stuff.

Well that was fun, but a little fast for me.

So....
You want me to believe all of this based purely of my trust of you, a person I have never met and who has yet to give any evidence supporting any of his claims.

It's wrong. The Illuminati was an organization 400 years ago. It does not exist today. Anyone read "Angels and Demons"?

I am not going to offer an opinion on the Illuminati, since I have no idea, but if you are accepting Angels and Demons as well researched evidence, you need to learn something about the nature of fiction.

No, obviously its the Raelians and Andromedans (refered to as grays) that are controlling the world through the illuminati in order to wage war on eachother for a billion years and bring about the antichrist...or something.

Angels and Demons is fiction, and I realize that. However, most of the INFORMATION in the book is factual.

Actually the infomation is just as twisted as the information in The DaVinci Code. If you check out any of the numerous attacks on Dan Brown's writings, you'll see he has a habit of changing even the "facts" his stories are based on to support his novel. Which isn't a problem, heck, it's fiction. But the sad thing is that a lot of people assume the facts are there, when they aren't. Another casualty of the public school system has been our society's grasp of history.

Oh my, that's one of the funnier pictures I've seen of him.

Can you imagine what it would be like if these conspiracy types were right? I mean, I know they're all a bit crazy, but like in "Conspiracy Theory" (that Mel Gibson movie) wouldn't it be crazy if they got it right? Personally, I think if these 13 people are so in control, what is holding them up on the one-world government thing? I mean come on. It seems they're at least as ineffecient as Congress.

Because then we would know they exist. If they remained in power then no one would try to stop them as they don't even know they exist. They control the world already, no need to tell everyone.

If you're into weird anti-Illuminati fanatics, look no further than Texe Marrs (http://www.texemarrs.com/). We used to read his newsletter when we were working late, sleep-depriving mids. Of course, everything is funny at three thirty in the morning on your third mid.

Look at this Illuminati Alchemy—Revealing the Mystery of Iniquity as the Satanic Bind of the Double Mind (http://www.texemarrs.com/cgi-bin/miva?Merchant/merchant.mv+Screen=PROD&Store_Code=catalog&Product_Code=0905&Category_Code=This+Months+Power+of+Prophecy+Radio+Programs)

The funniest thing about Texe Marrs was that his site used to be hosted on io.com. People In The Know realize that io.com was Illuminati On-Line, the hosting service that at the time also hosted Steve Jackson Games (http://www.sjgames.com/), publishers of the games... anyone? Illuminati, Illuminati: New World Order and so forth. So I wrote them an e-mail and raised the BS flag, accusing them of being a joke. They wrote back that they weren't BS, that someone in their organization had gone with the cheapest internet provider and that they'd had no idea they were hosted by Illuminati On-Line.

Interesting that their offices were raided and some of their computers confiscated. (IIRC the whole story is covered in their GURPS; Cyberpunk book)

You know, one of these days, I swear, i'm gonna read about how hobbits fit into all of this, like they are a big part of it or something. My god, people will believe anything. This kinda reminds of the quote that Goebbels(I believe it was, and i'm not sure i'm spelling that right) said which was, "the bigger the lie, the more people will believe it". Clearly, conspiracy theoriests fit into this cateogory.

I don't see credit given to Dan Brown or the artist John Langdon (who, ironically enough, has a "Cost of War in Iraq" counter on his homepage :p ) for use of the ambigram that was originally used in his book (and yes, that's where it originated. Read the book credits).

Other than that, all the stuff about shadow government is intriguing, but nothing I haven't seen before. The satanism part is different and hints at fundamentalism. Add the Lord of the Rings reference "People wish there was more magic in our world... if only they knew..." and you get the suspicion that the guy who wrote this is someone who regularly turns up for ritual book burnings of Harry Potter and D&D literature.
