Wolfowitz is a great politician, and has an excellent mind in military affairs. If he were appointed to some job at the Security Council, I'd support it in a heartbeat. But this has little to do with national security, at least in the context of what he deals with. I'm not even sure how much financial experience he has, considering how he is run a large bank that is supported with public money. For these reasons, I question Bush's judgement on this. Even the other candidate, Carly Fiorina, sounded better.

Carly Fiorina is a genius. There have been better CEOs, like Lee Iacoca and Jack Walsh, but they are old. Fiorina is young, and successfully brought Hewlett-Packard into the 21st century.

That was mostly because of the bubble, and its affects thereafter. Otherwise, she was a smart and persistent buisnessman.

Well, I do have a question. The World Bank is an international organization, right? So how does the US get to appoint its head?

After finding this bio on him, it seems as if I've slightly changed my mind on him. He was involved in higher education, and was the Dean at the Johns Hopkins school of human developement. Still, he must either know a thing or two about banking, or find a good assistent.

Drove it into the ground more I like it. The compaq merger was an absolute mess.
