So ... Israel gave control of Jericho to the Palestinians.

This is a great step closer towards peace and guess what? They're using the Clinton plan! George W. Bush will have had absofuckinlutely nothing to do with this great event should those two nations come to terms and develop a lasting peace.

Take that, neocon bitches!

How much you wanna bet they'll still take credit for it, though?

(ok I'm done now ... discussion time)

So ... do you think this maneuver will pave the way for the end to border disputes and a formation of a Palestinian state?

Hardly, a Palestinian state is a long way away.

Given the stuff I've been hearing about extreme Orthodox Jews in the area? I doubt it.

Well as someone pointed out, there's still a long way to go but I think it's the first step to a better and brighter tomorrow in the Mediterranean Middle East.

Clinton was an embarrasment to the nation. However if we could make his plan or any plan work in regards to Israel and Palestinian peace I'm all for it.

Voted for him twice. I liked the man and the President. He was exactly what this country needed when he was in office and he made great leaps forward in this country both socially and economically. In a mere 8 years, he turned one of the biggest debts in this nation into the largest surplus we've ever seen (and probably ever will see again). During the 1980s, America had reached a new low in the impression of the global community, but Clinton managed to turn that around and built some powerful bridges with allies that not even Bush has managed to completely burn yet.

In his time as Elder Statesman, he has made great strides in world politics and continues his diligent work to bring peace to tumultuous countries.

Yes, he cheated on his wife. However, I'm not going to fault him for that. It's none of my business.

I'm not going to get into a debate of specifics as that's for another thread, but yes, I did and do like Clinton. If that makes you lose respect, well, all I can do is shrug.

Probably not. The two governments may say their happy, but I doubt that it will matter much to the crazy extremist folk on both sides, they won't be happy until the other side is dead. I heard a group of zionists has already planned a massive protest in an attempt to stop the turn-over.
