WTF!??
I thought maybe the world was getting a little starstruck when Bono was talked about for World Bank president. Not someone you would normally think of off the top of your head as someone for that position, however he does seem to have a grasp of social problems and is sort of passionate about it.
Paul Wolfowitz!?!?!?
This guy is the pinnacle of evil! This is the man that is most responsible for the Iraq war! Yes, more than Cheney, Bush, and everyone else you can think of ! This guy has a list of sins against humanity that would make Satan chuckle.
I will use this as definitive proof that Bush is determined to piss off everyone in the world and make America the most hated nation in world history. To what goal I have no idea but this kind of action can not be by happenstance, this has to be deliberate.

Since when does the US appoint the World Bank President?
Marrakech II

Although I am a supporter of the President. I wondered about this so called nomination. It seems very strange fit for me. Perhaps more will come out in near future.

Gah, not the world bank again.
Everyone's favorite globalizer...
Rather odd nominations, though.

They don't, but under tradition since World War II the U.S. has been able to nominate the World Bank Persident while it's sister organization the International Monetary fund has been headed by a Eurpoean.
The nomination can be vetoed by Europe but as stated, this hasn't happened since World War II.

Rofl... another PNAC muppet in a leading position. Just great. I wonder why we don't give the world to these neo-cons right away. It would spare us the heartattacks whenever one of these cockroaches is appointed to some influential position.

My choice of words is less revealing, while saying the same thing.

yes... it's a worldwide PNAC conspiracy... just like the room full of old men in the X-Files...
Why the heartattacks, if I may ask? Last I checked, there isn't any difference between my political compass readings and Tony Blair, and I'm a neocon.

Sure, why not?
Robert McNamara made the same move during Vietnam. Under his leadership, the World Bank failed in every aspect of its charter.

Well to me PNAC reads like a conspiracy to ensure US global dominance. That's scarier than the smoking man...

How is PNAC a conspiracy? They are extremely explict in their goals of indeffinite American global domination.

Well ok, not a hidden secret conspiracy, but more of an evil evil plan? Yeah, that sounds right.
Edit :It's also a whole lot more arrogant to do it out in the open.

This kind of obvious imperialism seems to be hard to do in secret. They don't have to be secret anyway. The nazis didn't have to be secret either when they were in power. The same goes for the PNAC and the US government.
