Our government writes to express its disappointment with the Great Fathers, who claim that we have a large State apparatus and high taxes.
Neither are true. We think that Wolfowitz and his AIPAC cronies may have designs on us as a staging post for Pacific-theatre operations, and that the US is therefore engaging in typical propaganda designed to diminsh our great Principality in the eyes of the international community.
As a "randomocractic" country, our legislature and head of state (the Prince, or simply "Your Princieness") are selected at random from the adult population every two years.
We have no "entangling alliances" and - like the Swiss - enforced rifle proficiency and therefore a defence militia.
As such we require no "defence" department (our Constitution has a "sound language" clause, so we would be forced to call it an "Attack Department" if it was structured along Western lines). We invested in several hundred Yahkonts anti-shipping missiles, which means we need no navy (and no invader could land men via the sea).
Because of our small government (and lack of political parties and therefore absence of corruptly-motivated corporate largesse) we have been able to keep our tax rates at the same level as US tax rates at the turn of the 20th century - i.e., roughly 10% of GNP. In line with the standard theory of the diminishing marginal utility of money, we do have progressive taxation.
We have no state-based welfare or education system, relying on strong social and community bonds. We have sound money (gold-backed, and therefore non-inflationary), no central bank, and zero corporate taxation (so long as the profits are distributed to domestic residents - whereupon they are taxed at the average rate... retained profits are taxed at 35%).
