From what I hear it is based on a comic book and the filming style is damn close to a perfect match for the series.

I'll probably be checking it out.

Yeah! I got a trailer for it on my computer. It looks so cool. It's got a great cast also. Not to mention Jessica Alba plays a stripper. :D :fluffle:

Technically, it's not a Tarintino movie. He is listed as a 'special guest director.'

The movie is being directed by DYI fanatic Robert Rodriguez (Desperado, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Dusk till Dawn,....Spy Kids) and Sin City author Frank Miller (Dark Knight, Dark Knight Returns,.....Robocop II....probably should just ignore that last one....)

The film is saturated/animated with live action ala Sky Captain and the World of Tommorrow.

The rumour I heard was that Miller kept passing on making a film because he was sure that people where going to ruin it, then Rodriguez approached him about co-directing and doing a direct translation of the book.

I'm looking forward to it.

So Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarrantino are going to direct Frank Miller's 'Sin City'?
That is such awesome news! They're the only two who could do Sin City justice.
If you haven't read the comic, do yourself a favour and get hold of a copy NOW!

He is right Tarantino only did one scene of the movie, that's why he's a special guest director.
