Ok heres a thread we all can relate to.
Work sucks(duh) but money is esential to living(whether we like it or not), so i want to know the worst job you have had and why it sucked. Also I think we should go into dream jobs also.

being a student is a mixed blessing. a lot of the time i have nothing to do (or at least very little) and can laze about all day, get up late, post here loads (;)), etc. the downside is that sometimes the work gets too much to handle (i feel physically ill from 5 days of consistant essay writing (4 essays to do at once, left it to the last minute), very late nights, very early mornings and an overdose of caffeine and glucose... i've drank my way through over 24 cans of lucozade, a big packet of Pro Plus tablets, and several packs of lucozade energy tablets in that time and i feel ill)
the other downside is students are poor and i cant afford shit :( (don't get paid... guess its not really a 'job')
however i think it beats the shit out of doing a 9 to 5 :)

Worst: Night-manager at a restaraunt. All problems stop with you, you're underpaid, you need to deal with all the drunks, andon top of it you work till 2 in the morning.
Ideal: NHL GM.

Worst job, tie: Telemarketing and in-ground pool construction. Telemarketing is mind numbingly boring and drives you mad. In-ground pool construction is dirty, heavy labor and paid me very poorly.
Dream Job, Successful martial arts instructor. I was training to be one, but my incarceration got in the way, and when I got out I stopped training.

That's cool, but I'm not a big fan of that style. I was training in Lee Jun Fan Gung Fu, mixed grappling, Philipino Kali, and Indonesian Pentjak Silat. It was a JKD academy and they tend to teach alot of arts in one place. I wanted to open my own.
I work at school which sucks, but my part-time job is great. I work as an undertaker (I'm 15).

thats cool. in my opinion mixing martial arts styles makes you a better fighter because if someone knows one style you know they can counter it but they wouldn't know how to handle some of the other styles you use.

Worst job: tie between wiping moose noses and waiting on drunken frat partiers.
I worked doing temp jobs for many years. One job I had was at a factory that made beer signs. I worked on a line that made signs for Moosehead Beer. The sign were sprayed with antiquing and then put through a dryer. When they came out, we had to quickly wipe off some of the antiquing before it dried completely. We had to remove almost all of it from the horns and nose, but be sure to leave it in the nostrils and other parts. It sounds easy, but there was a trick to it. They really didn't train you - just put you on the line and told you what to do. Then, if you screwed up, the manager stood there are screamed at you like you were a child.
Other job was years later and I was called to help serve family style dinner at a wedding hall. When I got there, they said they were short handed for another dinner downstairs, so they took some of us down there to help set up. No sooner did we have the tables set, but they opened the doors from the bar, and let in a co-ed group of partiers from a local college. It was a frat group and their dates, who had been brought in on a bus and had been drinking for hours.
After dinner, they were supposed to do a presentation and have dancing, but there had been a food fight and we had to take down all the tables and mop, so they led everyone back out to the bar. I left when they handed me a bucket to clean up puke. NOT what I had signed up for. When I left, I had mashed potatoes and gravy down the front of my clothes and french dressing in my hair and I was supposed to go straight to a party. Needless to say, I had to go home to shower and I told them temp agency I was NEVER going to work food service of any kind again!
As for my dream job: Anything where I can get paid just for my beauty and wit. Yeah... like that'll ever happen!
