Why?

Why do people post on a thread? What makes a good thread? Why do people get ticked off at people who they have never met and will likely never meet, just because of a disagreement in opinion on a subject that is purely stupid?
I am curious, especially as to why some people :headbang: when talking to idiots. A wise man once said "When arguing with a fool, first make sure he isn't doing the same."

I like threads which I can actually reply to. I know it sounds simple, but some of them start with a huge page that goes on forever about some topic that I don't know too much. So make topics something most people have probably some passing knowledge about I guess. As for people being ticked off, well, some people are always ticked off, while others find it amusing to tick people off.

A good first reason to post is an evocative and interesting title, that hints at the nature of the topic and draws you in. A bad title can kill a thread ... as I suspect you will soon discover.

Cute name. Well, I would have to say that everyone who goes on forums have some reason why they post since that's what we do. I personally find forums to be a little more intellectual, fun, and interesting then most chat rooms. So perhaps the answer to your first question could be answered by you. Why are you posting on this forum? As for good threads, people like threads where they can argue, have fun, and socialize. I would highly recommend that you avoid posting threads about religion and politics. It pisses people off and has most likely already been done before. As for getting angry, these people are real even though you can't see them. Yes, it is very true that a lot of people on the internet may be pretending to be someone they're not but beliefs aren't something you can lie about. With that said, how can you not get angry at stupidity? I don't have a problem with people who are ignorant. We all are in some way or another, but it is aggravating that there exists people who have twisted thoughts and ideas, and that no one's really going to be able to change that no matter how much they try.

I try not to get ticked off at people but once i did get really annoyed (although i didn't post back) at someone who had a go at me for a reason that i still havent figured out...

I love to post on threads... dono why i guess its just fun and i tend to be argumentative so yeah...

i dont :headbang: except once... i was talking about the OC... is that explainable?

My only thread that had heaps of people on it was "Jesus"
