As we've seen, alot can happen in four years. What I'm wondering is: Since Bush's second term has just begun, what do you expect to happen from now until 2008?

I predict that Clinton will be blamed for everything that goes wrong in the Bush administration and Bush will be praised for everything that goes correctly.

So essentially Bush can do no wrong...

I predict Bush will be blamed for pretty much every problem that pops up in the world including slow service in fast food restaurants and the poor quality of US TV.
He, however won't really give a damn about what is said and will go about doing exactly what he wants, further increasing the blame laid at his door. . .round and round. . . until you have a pool of butter under a tree that we can put on our bread that mom made for us this morning. Oh wait, that was in that kids book I read when I was young that is now banned because some cranky people deemed it offensive. .. umm, yeah.

I predict that nothing much will happen for the next 4 years, the real implications will be afterwards once Bush has replaced the supreme court judges, *then* America will pinwheel into the void.

That's just my opinion though. :)

bush will become a democrat.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahaha....

no...
being a democratic leader harms business... Bush wont do that.

But what he WILL do is try to pass some extension bill of the Patriot Act that enables the gov't, esp. the CIA to set up a mandatory network of surveillance cameras and hidden microphones. They will probably allow another 9-11 to happen so that the American public get scared shitless and allow this to happen...

The world will continue in much the same way as it always has.

Too true.

The economy will continue to grow, more and more people will not be jobless, Social security will be reformed, More and more countries in the Middle East will have converted into democracies, and more people will see that Bush's policies (most of them) do work. And in an ironic twist of fate, Michael Moore will choke on a cheeto, and die. How sad.

Here are a few things.
Social Security and such:
Bush will get Social Security reform passed by year's end. Next year, he will do a dramatic overhaul of both Medicare and Medicaid that will compliment his earlier Medicare legislation. They will pass, but with greater difficulty, especially with Medicaid.
Energy Policy:
Bush's energy bill will pass by May. After that, the issue will die, except perhaps a few negotiations in oil price spikes.
Taxation:
Bush will submit his plan to simplyfy the tax code. If it passes, it's because of popular pressure, as no Congressman wants to cut his pork. The Alternative Minimum tax reform should sail through Congress.
The Atlantic Alliance:
It will strengthen these next four years, especially if Nicolas Sarkozy becomes President of France.
Iraq:
As a new pernament government is firmly in place, massive troop withdrawls will begin in 2007. By the end of his term in 2009, less than 60,000 troops will be left in Iraq.
Iran:
The Iranian regime will collapse in a wave of protests. The US will send in a few battalions to secure nuclear material, and ship them to the US for burial at the newly built Yucca Mountain facility. The US will also assist the Iranians write a new constitution, but not the heavy assistence required in Iraq.
The Middle East:
The wave of democracy will continue, vindicating the Bush doctrine in the White House's eyes. Whatever happened to bin Laden won't matter, as al-Qaeda has been severly marginalized. The Palestinians will also have their own state.
Congress:
After the 2006 mid term elections, Bush will become an ultra lame duck, making domestic initiatives impossible at that time. He will move to foreign policy more than ever.
Asia:
The US, South Korea, and Japan, with China's consent, will invade North Korea in 2008 with manpower available from Iraq. The war should be quick, and it will end the last holdout of the world in Asia. Japan will have repealed Article 9, allowing many US troops to rebase near terror hotspots in Thailand and Indonesia. China will also rise peacefully, though if they have economic trouble, Bush will have to deal with a bad economy at home.
Russia:
Vladimir Putin will grow more despotic, and Bush will have to deal with him. The policy toward Russia will start to be less of freindship, and more of the policy used in the Cold War. Putin will complicate non-proliferation efforts greatly.
Central Asia:
Pakistan will democratize, potentially destabilizing the country. US troops will withdraw a bit from Afghanistan, but a few will remain just to make sure that the Taliban never reorganizes at all.

During the first BushII term, Drug use in my family household increased 60%, alcoholism tripled, marraige remained stagnant, though the divorce rate remained the same. Abortion became known again for the first time in three decades- the highest since the original Bush presidency.

I expect more of the same from this term.

This I doubt. 51 % of America is against it. 56 % of those that read the details of it are against. That means majority are against it in two ways.
So I predict it will fail, but Bush will try anyway.

Energy Policy:
Bush's energy bill will pass by May. After that, the issue will die, except perhaps a few negotiations in oil price spikes.

nope, he won't get it passed due to Republicans added extra amendments to it.

Taxation:
Bush will submit his plan to simplyfy the tax code. If it passes, it's because of popular pressure, as no Congressman wants to cut his pork. The Alternative Minimum tax reform should sail through Congress.

Bush will decide to take away tax cuts first. Realizing he has done wrong but trying to make them permanent.

Iraq:
As a new pernament government is firmly in place, massive troop withdrawls will begin in 2007. By the end of his term in 2009, less than 60,000 troops will be left in Iraq.

America will be voyed to get out of their country, united the Iraqis express this than. America leaves, Iraq goes into a short civil war until Kurds get own state.
Turkey loses a big portion of Kurdish land and the Kuyrds are rich with oil fields.

Iran:
The Iranian regime will collapse in a wave of protests. The US will send in a few battalions to secure nuclear material, and ship them to the US for burial at the newly built Yucca Mountain facility. The US will also assist the Iranians write a new constitution, but not the heavy assistence required in Iraq.

Sometimes people are too optimistic. Iran will stave off American attacks with their theats of nukes. America knew Saddam didn't really have them so it was safe to invade.

Russia:
Vladimir Putin will grow more despotic, and Bush will have to deal with him. The policy toward Russia will start to be less of freindship, and more of the policy used in the Cold War. Putin will complicate non-proliferation efforts greatly.
.
Bush will let him continue due toward the freindship. Bush has said, " he has seen into Putin's soul and saw a kindred spirit."
So if Putin is a despot than Bush would be okay with it.
