I like Slavs. Some of my best friends are Slavs.
I cannot agree more with this statement. But with the collapse of the Soviet Union, Yugoslavia and Czecho-Slovakia the Slavs are free amongst themselves! Yus!
Oh I know they are free, but I'm joking around because what happened was a kid on his history test put for the 13 amendment to the US constitution instead of "free the slaves" he put "free the slavs". So it's only a joke.

Well that is the origin of the word Slave, slaves in Britain were normally taken from the Slavic lands or the Wellech (can't remember the correct spelling). So the word Slave was used to encompass them all.there were slaves and slaves, as it were. You could if you were starving place your head in your kings lap (a symbolic gesture) and he was bound to look after you and your family in exchange for a period of work. You still had free time etc. But then there were the slavs...
