So I'm killing some time between classes, and am flipping through the channels, and happen across a show called Banzai on Comedy Central.

And all I can say is HOLY BEJESUS! The show very much follows the MXC format where it is an Oriental game show, dubbed rather hillariously into English.

The show features ridiculous games that my friends and I would probably do just for the hell of it, such as putting on medieval knight helmets, and attempting to shatter mugs by throwing them at your opponent's head.

Or another game where they put 5 old ladies in a line up, and said that 4 of them haven't been laid in a long time, but one has, and then they give you time to guess which old lady is the filthy whore.

Apparently this is yet another FOX cast off that is so intenesely ridiculous.

Oh, and I thought it was a British production.

Ah yes, Banzai. Hmm...well, it was funny in places. I personally felt it was trying to hard. I've seen a few genuine Japanese gameshows, and the humour comes from the fact that they don't seem to find it as funny as I do.

Although I liked Mister Shakey Hands Man!

It may very well have been British, God knows FOX hasn't gotten anything original since Family Guy, well, nothing worth watching anyway.

That show was great. There was one where there were two guys and you had to guess which could give a pint of blood the fastest.

Banzai is very funny, but I saw an episode in Portugal once where they were do different bets to the British ones... I wonder if the american ones were different too?
The Portugese one, as voiced by Mr Cheeky Chappy, included this gem of a quote-
"So, Mistah Cockroach, you are known by many people for being strong little insect, in fact, so strong, some even say you withstand nuclear attack, but how long will you last in microwave oven?"

(The answer's 7 seconds, btw.)
