Libs: LP Reaches Out to Conservatives!
I'm shocked, and thrilled: I just received this month's copy of the LP News, and the cover reads--
"LP reaches out to conservatives at CPAC event in Washington".
Wow. In the past, we've (the American Libertarian Party) usually attended Democratic, or Liberal events, becuase our politics were seen as so "liberal" (as far as political affiliation has been concerned).
Are the winds changing direction? Which side do you believe we have more in common with?

The Libertarian Party is so far away, ideologically, from either major party. It's hard to say which one they are closer to.

Funny, I guess you're the "Who?" guy. I know you know who. :p

Speaking from experience, I've got along better with Republicans/conservatives, than my liberal/arch-liberal friends. Our one extra tie to Republicans might be from how they're for limited governemnt (well, still more gov't than us)
Then again my mother is an arch-conservative; that could mean something here... :D

I typically find myself getting into more arguements with folks who claim to be liberals, but maybe that's because I tend to focus more on the economic and social services sides of the issues...
Beyond that, the Republicans have the rhetoric (albeit, not really the record) of smaller government, so, that also kind of has an effect.

Not being an American it is difficult to say.
You needed a neither option.
