hope they do each book separately... theres too much if they try and cram all the books in one movie...
If I am reading it right they have shot the first movie as the first book and are well in to the second one. If things go well (good box office sells) they will finish it up and plan to show it next summer (2006)

It's gonna be a bad one, I can tell... they've got the cast all wrong. Zaphod should actually have two heads. Arthur should be able to be summed up in his talk with Trillian at the Restaurant (the one in which he emulates Marvin). The Vogon captain seems sort of... unfitting, too World War I piloty. There was not a single mention of mice or dolfins... Dunno about Ford, he might fit the bill. The lack of Slartibartfast or the philosophers (maybe) was disappointing. The Hollywoodishness of the whole deal really deadens it up. Also, where did 42 go? Got my custom made towel and 30 altarian dollars up on this one- it's gonna flop, at least from the bookist view.

Douglas Adams wrote the screen play himself before he died. Bear in mind that he planned to continue the tradition of each version of it contradicting the previous versions.
