42 hours, Easter weekend 2003. Coming back from a conference that led me to miss a week of college. It was because we drove back from New York to Athens, OH in the middle of the night.

when going on holiday to California with my dad, we were due to stop at Cleveland (spelling?) and then fly on to LA. my dad decided that, because we were travelling around (we drove from LA to Sacramento and back over 2 weeks) we didn't need to put a place of residence on the customs/immigration (whatever) form. unfortunatley when we landed at the first stop our customs official was some nazi bastard and would hear nothing of it and sent us to the back of the line and told us to get a place of residence or leave the US (a little OTT i think ). eventually we got through but we missed our connecting flight and had to wait a few hours till the next plane, which took us to Houston, and then wait for a plane to LA. total time was around 8 hours first leg, 2 hour wait, 4 hour second leg, hours wait, 4 hour flight to LA = 19 hours travelling time. that, plus we left in the UK in the EVENING (after having been awake most of a day already), we were knackered. ok we slept a little on the plane, but i have never been so tired in my life :headbang:

21 hours. I had a sleepover on Friday, but the friend I was hanging with forgot that she had a swim competition in the morning, so we had to get up at 6am. Then I went home, ate, and we went over to my other friend's house, where I promptly had another sleepover and stayed up til 3 in the morning making a zine.

Surprisingly, there was no alcohol or illicit drugs in my 48 hour sleep-less... thing... but I did sleep for about 18 hours after that...

I've been reguarly going 24+ hours without sleep this year, getting up at about 9/10 and just not being bothered to go to sleep till after breakfast the next day.
When i've actually had things to do the next day it'd probably stretch to about 35-40 hours.
I have a couple of mates who stayed up for about 72 hours to play the entire first weekend of a browser-based game i play...

I don't generally like enforcing sleep deprivation, you just end up feeling bad and it's utterly pointless, so i've never really tried to push myself and see how far i could get.

48 hours. That was after Abi ball (German equivalent to prom). I fell asleep the next night though...

About a month later, I got a letter from the Berlin public transport company telling me I'd been caught without a ticket that night...
