i'm a really soft-core franz ferdinand and jesus fan. i like take me out, but i hate this fire passionately. i think jesus was a good guy, but that's as far as i'll go with that, lest i begin a flame-war.

Auf Asche is awesome, but my personal fave is The Dark Of The Matinee. And Come On Home is pretty spiffy, too.

I like this fire, though it's been over-exposed, just like everything else MTV gets its hands onto. Take Me Out is quite good but my favorites would be "Believe Me Natalie", "Auf Achse" and "40' "

I think it's because
A) The fanatics haven't arrived yet and
B) This forum seems to have a high atheist population.

No, I haven't seen BP. I think you missed my point. I think they're shite. Like FF, The Bravery, The Others, The Earlies, Kaiser Chiefs etc. I want to eradicate them from the music scene forever. Just not before the Libertines (and Liberteenies) and the ultimate waste of space that is Pete Doherty.

Why because their real musicians who write and play their own music, and who have actually had to work to get signed by a record company by years of touring under their own resources. Besides bloc party sound nothing like FF or any other the other ones their. You'd rather have manufactured band or shit rap or pop groups then who don’t even play instruments or write their own music and just appeared one day eh!

Err...no. I like punk, ska and hardcore. Possibly the least manufactured type of music there is, and they certainly write and play their own music. And never get *any* recognition in the mainstream. Not that I mind that. And I'm not saying BP do sound like FF, I just don't like them - the same with FF and the others. Their music isn't great, it's not even good, or original.

They achieve their popularity because there are too many people out there who listen to Radio 1, and seem to willingly accept that what they listen to is the be all and end all of music. Anyone with even an ounce of sensibility would realise that this isn't the case. I don't blame the people - not entirely, anyway, though they really should find some better music - I blame the commercial music scene and everything that supports it - radio, tv, the music press.
