Many Lebanese are happy that Syria is pulling out. One group, however, isn't so happy. Hezbollah. They are the strongest armed militia in the country, and depend on Syria for support. The UN resolution that mandates Syria's withdrawal from Lebanon also calls for Hezbollah to disarm. Well, they don't want to. They also want Syria to stay. If Syria actually does the right thing and leaves will Hezbollah decide to stage a coup and take power in order to maintain their position of control and influence on Lebanon?

They may. But should that happen, those deposed elements of the government will beg for help, like the Governor-General of Greneda in 1983. Like Greneda, the US will probably send in a few thousand Marines, and that should be the end of them.
