I work to get my degree and to train to become a teacher, but my girlfriend makes my life worth living. :)

My aim is to get trained up and get a job as a primary school teacher and support my girlfriend through her university medicine course (as she will be studying for a hell of a lot longer than me!), and to my best to make sure she is successful. :) As well as making a difference in the kids i am going to be teaching.

Life.

Pure an simple, but to elaborate, it's the trials and tribulations that it throws up. I never have a "bad" day, they turn out to be "interesting".

My children enrich my life and also are what I work for. I work a job to be able to support them financially and give them the tangible things they need. I work as a parent by listening to them, learning from them, and trying my best to provide them with love, confidence, security, values and did I mention love? They make me a better person because I strive to be my best for them. I feel like children learn a lot by example, so I try to make sure they witness my actions and take mental note. My daughter now asks for money so that she can leave her own gratuity to the server when we go out to a restaurant. Thats one of the little things I've tried to instill in her.....I see her learning and actually doing things like that all the time. I hope I can provide her with a strong foundation so that she will grow up to love and accept people for who they are, and to get involved in things so that she can be a part of making a difference. Thats what enriches my life.

For me, it's making a positive change in people's lives. Most of that right now is focused on my family, but for me, the reward that matters the most to me is knowing I've helped someone or influenced them positively. It's why I teach, it's why I volunteer, it's why I come on NS to figure out my position on things and become inspired to act on certain issues. No amount of money or fame or material gain could fulfill that need in me, and this is why I don't focus on those things.

Hmm..it’s tempting to say that my kids enrich my life, because they absolutely do, in all the ways that all you before have mentioned, but I also think that it’s important for them to see me enriching my life in other ways, too, through lifelong learning, work, and volunteering. I want them to know that they are the most important aspect of my life, but at the same time I don’t want them to grow up and think that being in a relationship and/or having kids is the only way to have a rich and fulfilled life. I think it’s important that they see it as an option, one that I thoroughly love and wouldn’t change for anything, but that to be a whole person, I need to nurture my own interests, too.

But oh, as much as I used to say that money and material things didn’t matter to me, I never knew how much I meant that until I had kids. The only material thing that is truly important to me is my house, which certainly takes a good deal of money, but I have no desire to live in a mansion. If anything, I’d like to have my current house on a larger piece of land further out in the countryside someplace, but for now, it’s what I can manage!

I live to learn, it enriches my life, and I like to think I give a little back occasionally. That is why I am in education, doing A Levels, and hoping to do a degree, I love to learn

Then, by no means lesser, my family, my friends, my dogs, everyone who says thanks, or offers a smile

For you PM, you could say it is to have a family. You said you wanted one some day. :)

My motivation these days is to help my children and grandchildren all I can, to pass on what little wisdom I hve been able to acquire over the years to anyone who cares to listen, and to continue to defend my Country against all enemies, foreign and domestic, as best I am able.

i have most of what i thought i would need to acheive. i went to college, got a dgree in what i love, got an awesome job in that field. i own a nice house, i like my truck ( i am so not into expencive cars) my dogue kicks ass. i have all my family, and my best friends live right near me. i have good times, great laughs, and i havent had anything amputated. i have traveled to some interesting places, and have the means to continue that. i was getting disturbed about being being single, but i forgot about that.

that is true, family would be something that enriches life for me (that seems to be a common answer too), but at the moment i live away from my family and am years off possibly having children of my own (if, that is, i don't die a batchelor :D )

Cause as much shit as I can in the world at large. Try and spark pointless armed revolutions. Infiltrate a UN conference impersonating a national leader and start talking about pixies and goblins and conspiracy theories about the Irish secretly controlling the world. And the Irish built the pyramids. Infiltrate the English Parliament and shout "REBELL!" everytime someone mentions something. Pensions for war widows, "LETS REBEL"....education policies..."REBEL!".....new legislation concerning the regulations of the colour of traffic cones..."MUTINY!!"
Replace the AOL and Microsoft music with Metallica songs. Etc.
