Okay, so ignore the context of the article for a moment and just read the quoted section. Ah, political humor. And latex puppets.

Mr Shenderovich has already experienced criticism of his work from some of those close to Mr Putin. Three of the acting President's former lecturers at St Petersburg University law school attacked the television programme Kukly (Puppets), for its "irreverent" portrayal of Mr Putin.

Mr Shenderovich is one of the main authors of the programme, which uses grotesque latex puppets to parody Russia's politicians.

The article was about Putin becoming authoritarian, but they had a puppet show about him and his politicians. Again, a laugh.

Why do I get the odd impression that you have too much time on your hands?
That is rather funny, though.

It's good to see more stuff like this.

Thumbs Up.

Putin is already running a state with a dwindling number of freedoms.
I wish i could see that cartoon, it would be funny.

I do have a lot of free time, but the article was part of a reading assignment for my comparative government class.

I want to see that done with American politicians.
