Now if someone rigged up one of those Railbuggies with some armor and a flamethrower, then it would be Mad Max time.
I'm thinking any group of fairly dedicated engineering students could throw something together a little more intimidating and powerful for much less than $20k. Actually... that sounds like a good senior project :)
