...I am really, REALLY crabby today. I won't get into gruesome details except to explain that I've been able to avoid this particular hormonal problem for FOUR years due to being pregnant/nursing, and now it's crept up and locked it's bitchy jaws around my throat. So if I seem a bit out of wack today, or fly off the handle for no apparent reason, I will try to deal with the situation, but I am giving you fair notice. I may absolutely believe I am behaving rationally.

I'm just not used to it anymore...last month I was walking around biting my husband's head off, weeping uncontrollably in the basement and wanting a divorce, all for no apparent reason. When I finally figured out WHY I was being such a wacko, I apologised, and locked myself in my room until it was over. He was very much relieved by this solution.
I don't remember it ever being quite this bad before though...maybe it's making up for lost time?

Gah...I tried that for a couple of months through my GCSEs...the day you forget to take one :( plus it's not good long-term, you get osteoporosis problems and stuff. If you don't plan on more kids there's other more drastic options :-/
As much as I hate it, I don't really feel like it could be healthy to artificially stop it. I'll wait for the joys of menopause for that. Gak.

Aaaaaargh, stupid Danish people! Stop talking Norvegian in an English thread!
The worse I've ever been was when I went off the pill in order to have our first child. I'd taken the pill since I was 15, and had always been incredibly up and down emotionally, as well as suffering from migraines. I figured that was pretty normal, being a teenager and all, and the migraines seemed to be hereditary. THEN I went off, and went completely berserk for about five months...I became so depressed I was actually becoming suicidal. I broke up with my husband, alienated my family and couldn't hold down a job for a while. All of a sudden I seemed to even out and get back to normal...and I still don't understand what happened. I suspect it was my natural hormone balance trying to figure itself out, though my doctor denies that is possible. Then again, I've talked to a few women who got really weird for a while when they went off too. Oh yeah, and NO MORE MIGRAINES.
So I don't really want to go back on the pill, low hormone or not. Nor do I want to be operated on...yikes.
Anywho.

I never did have symptoms...much, again, until I went OFF the pill. Then I started having kids and I got all wacky, then evened out. Now I'm wacky again...time for more kids? :p
Then again...I often THINK I'm being rational when it is clear to everyone around me that I'm not...so perhaps you just THINK you don't suffer from symptoms?

Yeah, and most husbands don't live long past that anyway:) Seriously, my mom went through it early because she had a hysterectomy, and I have some older friends going through it, and let me tell you, PMS ain't got NOTHING on the "change". Heaven help us. Why the hell do we get loaded with all this hormonal crap?
Then again...I often THINK I'm being rational when it is clear to everyone around me that I'm not...so perhaps you just THINK you don't suffer from symptoms?
well, i know i don't feel bloated and i don't get cramps or headaches, or any other physical symptoms. my boyfriend has admitted that he would never know when i have my period if i didn't tell him (which i do out of courtesy so he doesn't get any surprises when we are intimate), and the only times anybody has ever accused me of "PMSing" were times when i was bitchy but not menstruating.
i suppose it is possible that i get moody and people are too polite to say anything, but i would be very surprised if that were the case...i don't hang around many polite people :).

Yeah, my sister recently started her periods, and my mom's literally called me crying cuz she's been such a bitch. My mom used to be quite the bitch before she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer (was removed thanks to early detection). Now, she just has to take her "nice pills" XD.
Perhaps we should order a heavier dose for good ol' sis?

None of my doctor's are quite sure. I got my first one when I was 11. Then, it was only every few months and then when I got it it was 3-4 months straight through. So I was put on birth control. Eventually I stopped getting my period when I was on birth control. My doctor tried putting me on birth control to see if I would get my period. It did not happen. The funny thing is, this is not really a period. You probably won't understan since you're a guy, but it is just blood in the urine. No tissue, no blood clots. Sorry for the details. :(
