hey all, we are curious, with the science of cloning improving, would you take the oppurtunity to lengthen beyond 9 months, to the benfit of your child.. to give his/her brain and body more time to develop in your womb, so that upon birth, 10 11, or 13 months later... his/her life in school and work would be more succsesful? he/she could be a athlete, or a engineer of teh highest caliber. on a side note, scientists in europe have crossed dna with a jellyfish and a rat to create rats that glow in the dark.. odd eh?

I'm not too sure how you believe this to work. The body naturally ejects th baby from the womb when al the natural processes, which for most women is about 9 months. I'm interested in your response though. You still have my attention.

I don;t think so, i once read a story of a Women in China who thought she had a tumor, but really she was pregnant! The baby was 40 years old!

I think it was dead though...either that or so brain dead retarded, that it died soon after.

But you get the moral. :)

Like I said most women would give birth around 9 months. That is an extreme case. Women used to have to have babies without c-section or opisiotomies. If the baby is coming, it generally will come around 9 months or so, unless there is something wrong. Nonetheless, most women will never have the ability to naturally carry a child for 13 months.

I remember hearing of a woman that was in china for an extended period of time while pregnant, but did not want to have the baby in china. By the time she got out of china abd into Britain again she was 18 months pregnant.

I want a glow-in-the-dark rat! That'd be sooooooo cool!
