The forums are perfectly fine really. If you like pointless debates on abortion, Christianity, Islam, other religions, terrorism etc etc ad infinitum/nauseam. Alternatively, if that's not your thing, go for the lighter threads - such as 'You are about to be executed', or 'You have been imprisoned'. I'm sure you'll end up spending far too long on here...just like some people.
Well, there is always the UN. You should also have a website for your region's economy and government. If your region is well-organized, you should find the forums and NS to be enough. I come on the forums regularly, I am in the UN, and I am also apart of my regional government. I hope that helps. :)
