I'm sitting in the most southern capital in the world, almost perfectly on the other side of the world from london. Could you pick somewhere a little closer to home? I'd flatten Canberra but no one would notice.

People just don't realise how to go about things. Fission and/or fusion bombs are not what would wipe out humanity most effectively. That's what we have biological weapons for. Just take some smallpox, slip in a little IL-4 (interleukin-4) gene, and bam! Extremely virulent disease with an insanely high mortality rate among vaccinated and unvaccinated alike, and much easier to clean up after.
