I regret greatly that my fingerprints are on file. It's an annoyance that hinders my creativity. :(

Are your fingerprints on file?

I'm amazed that you actually got the correct tool with which I remove my finger prints, I know some of my fellow serial killers prefer to use fire, but I find a wood rasp is the least painful in the long run!!!

only my right hand thumb is recorded ,

because at my school instead of library cards they use a thumb scanner, Why you may ask, because then they have a record of thumb prints from all the students there or who were there.
so if you ever do things at my school, always cover your right thumb

just another conspiracy solved , by me

My fingerprints are on file because I remember giving it for my drivers licence. But I'm sure it's for entirely innocent record keeping purposes. Or maybe it is a government conspiracy to get all of our fingerprints and figure out from that who is the best candidate for genetic testing. Then they abduct us and run excruciating and unthinkable experiments in an underground lab and....oh, sorry...got carried away :p I have heard though that if you ever have handled a penny, the government has your fingerprint on file, though I can't imagine they would be able to distinguish any usable prints off of a penny due to the amount of handling it recieves.

when i was in grade school in maine, it was standard procedure to fingerprint all children in 4th grade. i think they went to the state police.

some where along the line, someone realized that it was a huge invasion of privacy and the practice was stopped. i have no idea if they had to toss out the old records or not.

Mine are on file and so is my mugshot after an unfortunate arrest when I was 15 for break and entry. I DID NOT do it but people I was associated with at the time were. Anyhoo I didn't much care for these people so I helped the police bust them REAL bad. I know I sound like a rat but there are a lot of police in my family and I think being hard-nosed anti-criminal is in my genetic make up. I am much older now and have since helped qquite a few people get themselve's in trouble with the law for involving me in any small part with their shenanigans or ripping me off. I'm so good at it I've been asked to join the RCMP by members on at least two occasions. *evil grin*

As an immigrant I was fingerprinted as part of the process of obtaining a work permit here. Seems fair to me. If I want to live here I should have to be willing to trust the country and have no intent to commit serious crime.

Maybe. I was very young when that occurred. Too bad, 'cause if that happend today I'd give them much more than just a piece of my mind. :p

Regretably yes. I hate it when I think about it.. but that's not too often :p

Thank you for reminding me : P

Oh! And I hope nothing ever occurs that puts my mug shot out for public seeing.

Well maybe I wouldn't care.. I doubt Bill Gates gives a crap.

I know mine has got to be horrid tho lmao. Wasted and been crying. One day I will probably want to see it for the hell of it.

To the best of my knowledge, mine aren't on file. And to make sure it stays that way, I'm going to cut off my fingertips....now look how paranoid you've made me LG.
*gets knife*
*starts to cut them off*
*realises it's impossible to cut off fingertips on your left hand, when you've not got any on your right*

Fingerprints and portrait photo taken when I was on holiday in the USA over Christmas. Didn't like the idea first, but the procedure was kinda funny...

Anyway, I'm not gonna do stuff like :mp5: or :sniper: !

As a kid in Boy Scouts, they used a trip to the police station as an innocuous cover to get all our prints on file.

My fingerprints are on file because its one of the steps required for getting the secret clearance my job requires.

Oh, and they were also taken when I registered as a volunteer with the Boys and Girls Club.
