In Word, my backspace key doesn't work when you highlight something and delete. It just goes to the end of the sentence. Same if you highlight and try to 'overwrite' the sentence. It just goes to the end of the sentence.

How can I fix this? It just started randomly a while ago and it's really annoying.

bash the offending key with something heavy, like a hammer.

The word "openoffice" springs to mind.

It can read and write MS Word Documents, and passwords its own file types. It also reads WordPerfect Documents, and writes them.
