In Utah, maybe. But then again, when was Utah really considered a major state? And, when was it ever considered seriously?

hey i had lacrosse practice this morning. i love lacrosse, and i've played it for about 4 years. although i don't think it will be more popular than baseball, at least in america. although i hear it's big in the northeast

Baseball is America's favorite pastime (sp?).

But Football is America's favorite sport. I don't think anything will change that, ever. It's just too damn fun to play, and the strategies you can concoct are limitless.

glad to hear it. i'm from the midwest, and it's not wildly popular here, but it's gaining recognition.

i agree 100% about football being the favorite sport but they are in different seasons, and there is just as much hitting in lacrosse as football. this comming from someone who loves to play both football and lacrosse equally.

No, given the large change in temperature between winter and summer, we need an official summer and winter sport. We have hockey, hell half the players on the american teams in the nhl are canadian anyways, you guys just made it into a big business and all this shit and it became about the money and then then we end up losing a season.

Hitting with the sticks? Targeting with the balls? Because, honestly, that's the only way lacrosse could become somewhat rough.

yes you can hit with sticks, and with your body. you're allowed to put people on the ground. that's one of the best parts.

good man. same situation with us, only it's high school. i'm a junior, and it's our fourth year as a club. we're not an official 'school sport' so we don't get any funding from the school. and for practices we have to go to a nearby elementary school cuz my HS won't let us practice there.

Can you or can you not hit people with the sticks? If you can, a stick to the shin shouldn't be the most outrageous thing, you know.

"Field hockey"? Is that like "bandy"?
