Similar to the browser question, but this may be a tad less one-sided (Firefox!).

Oh yeah, post if other and such.

Ad-Aware SE Professional with all the plug-ins and a cool Slipknot skin, Spybot (but I'm going to phase this out for Spy Sweeper), Microsoft AntiSpyware, HijackThis, and the Demon Phoenix Super "Common Sense" Preventative Program. Since buying this computer, I've only found about 50 pieces of crap on it, and they've all been cookies.

the Demon Phoenix Super "Common Sense" Preventative Program
So when is that one coming out on the market? Heh.

None. I don't get spyware and I clear out cookies manually.

Well, the problem with this program is that it is written in a language that most computers can't understand, called "Invisible Not-so-Basic ++++++", a second cousin twice removed of VB and C++. It only runs on my computer and when I'm using it and oddly enough, it's not the computer's compatiblity that the program needs to run, it's the other users. But if other computer users become compatible, I'll be sure to sell them the code for ten easy payments of $349.99.

Rad. Reserve me a copy. Anyway, I'm with Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware.

Keeping spyware out of people's computers would be a lot easier if people wouldn't be such morons about it. I actually make money off of this sometimes, catering to schools and churchs and the like, removing spyware from all their computers. I actually have a six-megabyte RTF file detailing all the spyware from a single scan of my old school's network. On those crappy old computers, I'm surprised Ad-Aware didn't make the processor explode ;)

No thanks. I'm principled. ;)

From what I hear, its actually quite good, but I can't bring myself to use a program that will soon be a pay service...when it was created for the sole purpose of patching holes in their sloppy coding to begin with!

Other; I use both Ad-aware and Microsoft AntiSpyware. Along with common sense(ex. I don't download ANY browser toolbars(useless and usually full of spyware), I clear out my cookies regularly(just in case...), etc.)

I have spybot, rarely use it.
Adaware...now got this down to once a month, still no spyware usually. Why?
Because I use SpywareBlaster. It works! \o/
Hijackthis is good for trojans as well as spyware, but I rarely need to use that.

Ad-aware, Spybot S&D with Hjack this if I have a big problem (voted for adaware).
And is spyware blaster actually any good?
