Not a prolific author. Not someone who has a wide body of work to refer to.
However, William Blatty wrote The Exorcist, which became one of the most terrifying movies of all time and was nominated for an Oscar for best adapted screen play in 1973. He also wrote the sequel, "Legion", which received high critical acclaim.
This New York born son of Lebanese parents made his debut with "Which Way to Mecca, Jack?" in 1959 and was working on "Exorcist III: Coroner's Report" when he died of natural causes.
I wonder if he managed to finish the latest book.
