I collect military helmets and hats!! Isn't that super exciting!!!!

I have

Two Fritz helmets
Wehrmacht helmet, French Occupation
Wehrmacht helmet, WWI
Britsh Airborne Helmet, WWII
British Infantry Helmet, last Zulu War.
An American navel hat, circa about 1840s (this is a replica so not so valued)
USN hat from a class A uniform (if the navy has those)
aviators hat, US Army Air Corp, WWII
Doughboy Helmet WWI, Arrowhead division, I wanna say 91st. I don't have it with me now, its in the states.
Chicom soft hat, and little red book!!
Boonie hat
Three soft caps US army.

I am currently looking for a Japanese helment. A French and Soviet WWII helmet would be good to.

Utterly useless hobby, eh?

Well, there are these really messed-up forums where I go, and I have multiple accounts so that I can pretend to be different 'countries'. How one person can be an entire country is questionable, perhaps, but when you look at some of the people here you suddenly realise that such questions are the least of your worries.

Oh wait. That's here.

Um.

Yeah.

No, I don't have any unusual hobbies. I like to see how far I can jump down stairs before hurting myself, claiming 'the more I do it on purpose, the less it'll hurt when it happens for real!'. That's not exactly the pinnacle of normality, I suppose.

My dad has a peculiar hobby, I suppose. He collects stamps. But not any stamps. He only collects first class stamps. Not the pictorial ones, or the special edition ones, just the common-as-muck first class stamps. He sticks them on the backs of doors. My parent's house is now littered with them, much to the amusement* of my mum.

on a more extreme tangent of jumping down the stairs, have you seen those free runners? I was watching a program a while ago, can't remember the game. But it ends up with this French guy jumping from the top of a ship, to the deck, a height of roughly three storeys, and taking it in his stride. Very impressive. At another point, he also ends up on top of the Albert Hall, and can't remember quite how he got up there.

I've always wanted a pickelhaus helmet.

I have two soviet officers' overcoats, one summer and one winter.
A Colonel and a Captain.

Also a soviet fur hat and a bunch of medals and junk.

I suppose if I collect anything it is clothing.

Wellll, also old books.
The jewels of my old book collection are a first english edition of Hermann Hesse's Steppenwolf and a first edition set of Churchill's History of the English Speaking Peoples.

Archery. Yep. I shoot long metal pointy things at large round straw or foam things from a big metal thing combined with a thin twisty thing.

I guess my hobby, making jewelry, isn't that strange. But, I meet a lot of strange people doing it, so does that count?

I just got a shipment of ear threads, so I will be adding beads to those as soon as I get my bead room set up. My next big bead project is to build a new headboard for my bed and cover it with beads.

I just finished stenciling patterns above the fireplace in the house and next I will be painting designs on my shower curtain. Of course, this has nothing to do with beading, but I like making things that no one else has...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't two race, ie: black and white, only phenotypic in a person if they are only 25% black, not 50%? It's a "theory" I've been working on.

As a theory it does make more sense, however the observations* trying to prove either way were halted. They were doing some down in Boston a couple months ago and they never published the results.

I know quite of few "Mulatto" people and those who show both their African and Caucasian traits, had only one black grandparent and three white grandparents. Thos who only showed their African traits had one white parent(pure white) and one black parent(pure black). I think in this sense, genetics should be given more attention. I personally believe in the white Diaspora, and that belief doesn't mean I can't believe in religion, evoution, or creationism.

As far as religion gets intertwined with science I'm not sure where I stand. I've been very indifferent abotu that lately. I've always been a very* religious person all through my childhood and adulthood. However, many factions of catholism don't make sense taking science in account.

I have no hobbies, but I am thinking of taking some up sometime...unless...
is procrastination is hobby?

Hey, LP. I love Mario and Sonic. I deleted my picture. I'm going to post a different one. I can always just send you the closeups, the lighting is just so much better in them. :(
Whoo! I can't wait

I guess we can say it is... lol
Only problem is we'd have to consider boredom a hobby, then.

I climb narrow spiral staircases to stand in cold rooms with other obsessives, trying to make a lump of metal several times my body weight and twenty feet above my head move how I wish it using only a rope with a strange fluffy bit on it.

I'm a bell ringer. Hurrah!

As far as religion gets intertwined with science I'm not sure where I stand. I've been very indifferent abotu that lately. I've always been a very* religious person all through my childhood and adulthood. However, many factions of catholism don't make sense taking science in account.
*In my opinion, compared to the people I grew up with.

I'm Allie. I'm 17 and I live in Wisconsin. This is my take on religion. Right now I'm agnostic:

The world was most likely created due to a sequence of chemical processes. We most likely did evolve from other species of primates. The coincidence of the bible and Adam and Eve can be justified. Adam and Eve could exist because cave men lived far apart from each other. Caves were found in Spain, France, and Germany. Mesopotamia was where Adam and Eve were presumed to live. Now Known as the region of the Tigris and Euphrates river, between Turkey, Iraq, and Syria. The Paleolithic era was most likely when humans were evolving from primates, which would explain why specific humans like Australopithecus existed but died off because they did not evolve to the point of survival. At this time, I believe that humans were dark-colored(black). It is possible for cave men to produce white(caucasian) offspring because, in my opinion, the first peoples posessed both a dominant and recessive gene for all coded skin colors or degree of melanin. Due to this, it is possible for black people to produce white offspring. Phenotypes tend to be dominant if the organism has two dominant alleles. Of course, dark skin is always more dominant over light skin. This can also explain racial traits. Many Arabs have a mix between hair texture of a African person and white person. They tend to have very dark eyes. Asians have fine hair and dark eyes, etc. I believe that the Bible begins with Mesopotamian civilization not Paleolithic time. That is why it is not in the bible. This is also why Adam and Eve could be depicted as white people. They could have been white. No one is sure of exactly when the white Diaspora occured, but I believe in it. That is why Northern Europe was the only place with Caucasian people prior to imperialism.

Right... and what kind of statues and paintings? I mean, they'd catch you quite fast if you did it in a museum or in an art gallery.

Well, I think I have a lot, but this is all I can think of right now:

1. I collect paper clips so I can make paper clip necklaces, bracelets, tiaras, etc.

2. I collect twisty ties (like on Barbies) so I can make twisty tie necklaces, braclets, tiaras, etc
