Here is a good site to begin with:http://212.168.23.160/creed/index.shtml

Here is an excerpt:

The Creed

What is Creed?

Creed is a very important thing that we all must face within ourselves and others. Our faith...what we believe in. What our principles are. What we teach each other as well as ourselves. And simply who and what we are. We must understand that our Creed is what makes us, we don’t make it. We didn’t invent it, it invented us. We believe what we believe because we are what we are. Created from life itself.

The Jedi Creed is the faith in a Force that exists in all things. We are one with it. We can’t run away from it simply because it exists within ourselves. We are part of it, and we spread our Creed, our principles, our teachings, and our words of faith to others that seek it. Our knowledge is here so that others may learn...so that you may find your own answers. So that you can make the decisions for your own self.

To be enlightened is to understand your own Creed. To be educated and to be taught of the ways in which we are part of, in which we are made of. Ones who believe in perusing the truth. To be wise, to respect others and to listen and learn from those who live and has lived life...as we do now.

We are the caretakers. We are the peacemakers. We are the truth, the just, the order of peace. We are Jedi.

Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny. :(

Me too. Then you can use a bunch of wicked awesome jedi attacks, and you can use red lightsabers, the coolest color. Man..I've been playing KOTOR too much..

I believe that the Jedi must use all aspects of the Force to be strong enough to restore peace to the galaxy, so I'm probably considered a Sith.

I dunno bout the Sith. At least in KOTOR you can use any of the powers from either side.

But still. I think being a Jedi and having a silver lightsaber would be pretty damn cool. Or at least in my case two lightsabers, one silver and the other blue.

I'm going to go play KOTOR again now.

Shouldn't the title of this thread be: 'So, a Jedi you want to be, hmm?'

did Jedi ever get recognised as a religion in the UK after the 2001 census?

No, I think it was all just a wind-up. Be cool if it was, though.

That's not how religions get defined in the UK. The Office for National Statistics played a straight bat - they simply the reported the results: here (http://www.statistics.gov.uk/CCI/nugget.asp?ID=297&Pos=&ColRank=2&Rank=1000). 390k signed themselves up as Jedi.

you see, i remember everyone thinking that if they had a certain number of people put it down then it would be listed as a religion...obviously not

Nah, they got the idea from a previous write-in campaign in the New Zealand census where, IIRC, the rules on the official recognition of religions are different.

Meh. I've always got people bugging me in the middle of my meals asking me to save them or mediate disputes and stuff. It really cramps my style.

"Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter." (flesh).

The wisdom of Yoda speaks volumes.

Luke: "I cant do it..."

Yoda: "That is why you fail."

Would you beleive that actually I, Martens the Evil Kraut, used to be a Jedi? And a damn good one too. Sadly though I don't think there'd be anyone who could turn me back to the right track.

Oh well.

I put my religion as Jedi on the most recent Aus census (even though I consider myself athiest).

I prefer Newtype/psycommu powers over the Force, no offence.
