the bounty of the appreciation threads on this forum is ridiculous. i am sorry, but posting message upon message upon message upon thread upon thread upon thread about poster upon poster upon poster is way out of control.

here is my opposing force to the appreciation threads.

WE ARE ALL DEPRECIATING . every nanosecond you are closer to your demise, and therefore, worth less than you were in the past.

what is your single largest element contributing to your DEPRECIATION?

mine would be the fact that i am, every day, exposed to carcinogens in the form of the chemicals we use to embalm. i attempt to counteract this with vitamins, fresh evening air, exercise, and a humorous outlook on life. but i also am a light somker, and drink too much alcohol to deemed a health benefit.

my pc being broken. It means I can't draw all those pictures I want to draw, makes me feel bored, and means I depreciate faster. Ah-ha!

Damn you, pc, and your tiny 300w power supply. Damn you.

I support that. Mentioning reality TV shows like that. *shudders*

Hmm... what else depreciates me? life insurance probably has an influence, depending on how much my life is worth at any one moment?
But I still want to blow someone up for making my pc broke. Like.... rawr-explode.

at the moment, i am also depreciating due to too much free time. and perhaps my practical joke war with my friends. one of us is sure to get killed one of these days.

i should have made the thread with a different question. perhaps a depreciating comment about posters. that would be considered negative though, right? wonder what the mods would say.

factors accelerating me towards my death:

Sitting on my ass posting to NS instead of running laps.
Eating mindlessly while posting to NS instead of limiting my caloric intake by chewing slowly and savouring my food.
Stressing out over arguments on NS that really don't affect me much.
Sleeping poorly because I am dreaming about posting to NS.

I see a common thread here...

The factors are too many and too interrelated to be listed here. What I can say is that I'm depreciating rapidly. By this same time tomorrow, I should be worth about three yen.

Self-deprecating is fine. Deprecating others, ... well ... , isn't.

My element? Ennui.

please don't. i know that i, for one, am quite fond of you, and i also know that i'm not alone. besides which, who else am i gonna get to repair my corpse after my untimely death? edit: my career choice, i have no doubt, will add to my depreciation.

what is your single largest element contributing to your DEPRECIATION?

Probably the years of booze, drugs, and hard core lifestyle that I've put on hiatus for retooling, but is most likely catching up to me now. Frankly, I was as surprised as anyone when I woke up one morning and said, "Hey ... I'm 30 today."
