A couple days ago, I was told a story from people that went to my old school. The story was about how one class went down to America for a fieldtrip and when they got to the border, they made ALL the people who seemed to be of middle eastern descent get off the bus and wouldn't let them come into american. These were people who had spent their entire lives in Canada that were not allowed to go into America just because they looked a certain way.....

Sometimes stories we are told are just that, stories. However if it is true it is a surprising and disappointing thing.

and people think kangaroos and emus go through our streets here in australia..... then again, where i was living in outback SA, i took a couple of fotos of my mate chasing after an emu, that was walking down the street.....

Not bloody likely. Profiling is so taboo in America we "randomly" check frequent business flyers and 85 year old grandmothers. The likelihood of the guys at the border not letting people who look to be of Arab descent entry into the United States with a Canadian field trip seems very doubtful.

No offense, but we don't do jack shit to stop immigration from your nation. Sure, we may have the single racist border patrol, but if they wanted to get in all they had to do was walk a mile out of his sight range and walk acrossed the border. It's not like we have a fence in most places along the border anyway, and when we do it's not even a decent fence with patrols or barbed wire or anything, no, it's one of those flimsy Home-Depot chainlink deals.
Now Mexico, on the other hand... we've practically got lava pits and bear traps at the border there. Or at least we would, if human rights people wouldn't get up in our face about it.
Is this right? Heck no! And the only reason we do it is because Canadians speak English naturally and Mexicans don't.
Just wait until D.C. finds out about the Quebecis and speaking French, they'll make a wall out of solid steel to keep that out of the states. :rolleyes:

Hahaha, most don't work half days, but when I finish my half day at 1pm I go down the beach and have a BBQ.;)
