I hope the kid or his parents launch a serious lawsuit. What the Hell were they investigating him for, anyway? Was he seen writing somewhere inappropriate?

Jesus fucking christ. Thats fucking crazy. The 'nature of the crime still makes it a felony'?! Crime? Writing a fucking short story. The Judge and the prosecution truly deserve to die.

Unreal. A very extreme use of the fear of terrorism. Be careful what you write. My goodness!

This is a bit depressing. Glad the UK isn't like America in this regard. Yet.

Boy if I actually wrote down the story I was planning on writing I could be arrested also. In the plans for the book (fictional! It'd be crazy to do this in real life and I would never attempt it!) these kids go and burn down a gas station because they hate America. Lucky for me these are written down.

This is absolute madness!
Incarcerating a person based on the text of a fiction story they write!

And the most depressing thing is how little we can do about things like this happening.

Am I the ony one who thinks it a little bad on the intelligence of the Law enforcement in Kentuckey if they believe in Zombies?

I mean seriously, A terrorist threat INVOLVING ZOMBIES!!!

The whole idea itself is just... demeaning to those police.. but Zombies is like the final nail in the coffin.

This is what we get in the US for those asinine "zero tolerance" rules schools have adopted. And those rules come from our asinine, lawyer dominated sue everything you see in front of you culture.
Schools are so afraid they will be sued and lose some of their funding that they target kids who do just about anything that ain't quite normal.
I was a substitute teacher for a year. In my school district kids couldn't have cough drops because they were classified as drugs. Any child who said the word "gun" was to be sent home for the day. (It amazes me more kids didn't catch on that they could have free day just by uttering one word.)
Common sense is dead in schools, but Mother Earth day isn't.

Aliens came from outer space. They had ray guns, and they blew up the high school.

OH NO! I've aligned myself with alien terrorists in a conspiracty against GOD!!!! When will the killing END!!!!!

Appearantly it was his idiot guardians who turned him in. If they can sue I'm going to run out and confess to any unsolved murders and then sue the police for arresting me for crimes I didn't commit.

Yeah, I once wrote a story about aliens blowing up a school.

Which must mean I am a terrorist threatening to blow up my school, right?
I got an 'A' on that assignment...

Imagine if they re-aired "War of the Worlds."
I heard that some people commited suicide over that. I think we should air it periodicly to clean out the gene pool.

The people who got him in jail, that is, the judge and lawyers, deserve to have the flesh scraped off their bones by a group of ravenous, bloodthirsty, hideous, stinking zombies in an advanced state of decay.

Now, why is it that everyone is assuming this kid isn't actually a terrorist who was planning to attack his school with zombies? All you people are jumping to the conclusion that, just because you've never seen zombies used as terrorist weapons, they naturally can't be. But that's faulty reasoning. Somebody had to be the first suicide bomber. Someone had to be the first person to shoot up a post office. And someone's going to be the first person to overrun his school with zombies.

Thank god the brave men and women of the Kentucky State Police caught this kid before it was too late, is all I have to say.

For goodness sake, there's no such thing as frikking ZOMBIES! Why are they complaining about it? Oh yeah...this is Kentucky we're talking about here. NOTE: The preceding sentence was a joke and was intended only semi-seriously. It was not intended to act as troll or flamebait.

The closest things to zombies would be people infected by a mutant strain of rabies that would cause them to display zombie-like behavior. A similar virus could also cause vampire-like behavior in people infected with it.
