Neither. Get government out of interpersonal relationships.

Civil Unions
same here. Although the post above does make sense, but since government does regulate it in some sense, and until that day when they're out of it, I voted yes.

Agreed. There's no need for the government to be administering something like that. The only real reason for bringing the government into it is in the case that you and the other party or parties need to have a legal dispute settled.

Ok. Then how do you deal with the "faithful" from causing problems. If a Christian judge thinks that gay marriages or divorse are wrong, then what do you do?

The judge can think what s/he likes.
1. In the case that a judge thinks divorce is wrong...
a. If both people agree to a divorce then they, being the parties that entered into the contract, can also consent to remove each other from it. In this case, there is no need for a judge.
b. If one of the parties does not agree to the divorce and the other wants one, then there is need for a judge. If a judge disagrees with divorce on principal, s/he should remove themselves (or be removed forcibly, if such becomes necessary) from the case and allow another judge to take it.
2. In the case that a judge thinks gay marriage is wrong...
a. If a judge disagrees with homosexuals entering into a marriage contract on principal, s/he should remove themselves (or be removed forcibly, if such becomes necessary) from the case and allow another judge to take it.

Damn it! That was a terrible, terrible typo. It should read: should all people have the option of a civil union?
