Looks like the new Army uniform. Imagine getting into a firefight wearing all that stuff.
I can just hear Haji saying "What the F    ?"

Is it just me, or are all those colorful beads just screaming, "Shoot me, Shoot me"?

If my understanding of Mardi Gras is correct and I believe it is, I wonder what some of them did to get all those beads..lol
i like it...but where the hell did they get all that stuff????
*at the base*
"Guns?"
"Check."
"Ammo?"
"Check."
"Outrageously bright, colorful, and festive mardi gras stuff?"
"Double Check."
One of those doesn't sound right... :)

Seriously, though. Good on them. I know they were thankful for the time to play. The shot with the beers. Lucky! The US adopted a policy of "dry wars" in the 1980s. Beer is an absolute no-no. Their CO must have had some pity on them.

Check out the list of supplies they want--the mailing address is there, too. How 'bout a little support from NationStates!

Hmm. Men and women drinking together, dressed in gaudy clothing, and celebrating a heathen festival before a Christian Holy Day?
Geez. The Islamic extremists are *sure* we're nuts now.
(Hey, it's not Bourbon Street, but it's not bad!!)

I can just see Mardi Gras in Sadr City (Shite section of Baghdad, a concentratrion of Muqdada al-Sadr's supporters).
Hey baby, show me your ankles and I'll toss you some beads!
