I have a distinct preference for green eyes, though I may be jaded since thats the color of my own eyes... Other eye colors also look attractive, but green seems to really catch my attention. I was simply wondering what the personal preferences of other NS'ers were.

Feel free to elaborate, tell us a story, post a picture or two! :)

Hmmm.... I like dark brown eyes, though mine are blue. Any darker colour is good though. I don't have any reason for the preference... just one of those things, I guess. Blue eyes rule too. But purely because of my bias. I don't like blue as a colour, usually.

I quite like light green eyes, because they stand out. Most people I know have brown or dark green eyes, which look almost black from a distance.

I enjoy Blue Eyes in general, they draw my concentration when I am talking to someone with them, and if you have a b/gf with them, its great to look into their eyes and*ceases romance-talk*

oh, of course... how could I have forgotten them? So hypnotic.... and they make you either want to cower or laugh maniacally. Such a powerful colour.

My g/f has the coolest eyes. They are constantly changing colors. The colors range from brown, grey,blue ,and green

Light green. My own eyes are a cross between light green and brown.

Dark green is easily the most beautiful color for eyes. Darker shades usually have a much warmer feel than lighter ones, and green is the most soothing color, imo.

Mine are White-Green, and I like 'em on other people just the way mine are.

I put light blue. They seem to be the most striking. So are green eyes. This is a funny question to me because no one seems to know what color my eyes are. I think their green, everyone else does but my parents. Maybe they're trying to hide something. :confused:

I voted for light brown eyes, although I am not sure how 100% accurate that is.

I always seem to fall for guys with pretty brown eyes.

But I think like....if I was just looking at random pictures of people I would choose blue eyes first. Probably just because I like my own blue eyes.

But yeah...attractiveness-wise...I have to go for brown eyes.

I don't know...one of my friends has gorgeous eyes...you literally can be mesmerised by them, though they're quite pale whereas I tend to prefer intense colours...like that actor who played Scarlet Pimpernel and is ruining his rep. in Argos ads. Personally I'd want dark green emerald eyes....
My best friend has a blue and a green which imo tend more to grey and yellow in certain lights. Another definitely has amber yellow eyes. They're startling but not unpretty.

Wow, it would appear that light blue is the popular choice thus far... although, milky is making a strong come-back! (wow, I didn't think anyone would actually choose that! I should have put down the color 'Myrth' too! haha!) :p

My biggest weakness with women are dark brown eyes, especially on a blond, for some reason. Bright blue eyes, not the pale kind, are nice too, but brown eyes are just awesome. :D

Hey, mine change colour too...I thought I was just weird. Mine vary from a bright blue to an almost navy colour.

My eyes seem to change color depending on my mood too - its very strange. At times the shade of my iris seems to go from their normal misty lime green to a dark brilliant jade green. I wonder if theres any science behind this?

my eyes are light blue but they have a ring of navy around the iris so they could be called either but they look light blue from a distance. I like light colors better b/c dark colors all tend to look like black/ brownish and you can't really see the color except in special light or really close up

My best guess is that they're looking at your boobs. I'm serious! I remember learning about it in a conversation with my mother and/or sister when I was younger, that if you don't know the color of her eyes when they ask you, then it is most likely you've been too busy looking at her chest.

I don't look at guys' man-boobs, so I look at their faces. I know definitely two that have blue eyes.

I picked dark green, though I'm not positive.

Colour-change blue (the type that go between gray, light blue and bright blue). Mmmmmmseksay. I picked light blue, because I don't like 'dark blue' so much as 'bright blue'... 'sdifferent.

My eyes are brown. Bah and mutter. The worst thing is that brown alleles (WARNING: rambly biology to follow) are dominant to blue ones, so if I have kids, they'll probably get shoddy evil brown eyes... *UNLESS*! I can mix genes with a guy with blue eyes. Then there'd be a 25% chance of them getting blue eyes (my mum has blue eyes, so I might be heterozygous).

Ahhh, plotting to pick the eye-colour of my children. And those foolish technophobes thought we needed gene-alteration to manage that :p
(or course, there are probably factors I don't know about. Luckily I'm not having kids for a long time if ever so it's... not really any sort of issue at all...)

Hmm, well, i'm the only member of my family with blue eyes. And I have the lightest colour hair too so I...hmm. Something doesn't add up. :p

Hmm, doesn't really matter for me. I have no colour that I "fall" for or anything.

I, myself, have light brown, almost beige eyes. But many people see them as dark brown, but they do indeed look dark from a distance. But once you get up close you can clearly see that they are a very pale brown. My dad has green/brownish (very pale) eyes and my mum has rather dark brown, so mine are leaning more towards my dad and my brother's are more towards my mums.

But hey, speaking of colour chaning, people comment that my eyes sometime seem golden. They have a strange golden glow about them. Is that a slavic trait? Seeing as several of my relatives (all slavic) have the same and a few russian friends of mine have the exact same thing happening to them. I have yet to come across anyone else but someone of slavic origin with goldish eyes.

But then again, I have never been outside of Europe.

strong light coloured eyes (if you know what i mean...say, a lightish blue colour, but strongly light blue..) with darker surroundings (hair etc) is fantastic looking

my own eyes go from a grey-ish blue to pretty strong blue depending on the light

(dark brown, dark blue) Though I actually always wanted green eyes. I used to dye my hair auburn, I thought red hair suited my temperament better. But then people always asked me if I wore colored contacts. Which is weird, because they don't ask that with my natural hair color.

But I'm not really picky about a guys eye color, it's the shape and eyelashes I look at. I love guys with long eyelashes.

Hmn... I'd say I like dark-blue eyes and light-green eyes the best.

How about One light blue and one dark green, i mean how cool would that be. its very my bestie stevie has it she rocks. i could stare at her eyes for ages.

Well, my eyes are hazel, although they have a thin ring of yellowish green around the pupil...

I prefer Dark Green eyes...

That said, I would agree with earlier comments that a woman with dark hair and blue eyes is incredibly captivating. :)
