How many of you have read the original book? There are several blatant references to tarzans homosexuality and his religion. These have been "cleansed" from later versions and the movies/TV but it was there at the start!
Really? I had thought Trazan came into the Jungle as a kid?

Now I have not read Tarzan, nor do I plan on it any time soon. So I guess I could be accused of beating on the hornet's nest when I say "Prove it."
If we could have some examples, taken from the original text, that support your claim, this would be helpful. Otherwise all I can say is, "prove it." Because I don't have the book, nor do I plan to get it really...

Bisexual, I think you'll find. Short story worth tracking down: The Jungle Rot Kid on the Nod by Philip José Farmer - what Tarzan would have been like had it been written by William S. instead of Edgar Rice Burroughs.

I just finished reading the original book. There is no mention whatsoever of Tarzan's sexuality except, of course, for his love of Jane Porter.
As I cannot prove an absence, I will cite the whole book, available free online, and ask anyone to provide a quote...

Could someone recap the story for me? I've never read the books nor do i have time at the mo and I know ill forget to, but I do like to hear the 'real' stories when the media clouds the issue.

"Tarzan was a homosexual catholic priest."
Isn't that redundant?
