If you had the chance, to be in the Racoon City during the outbreak, and have to fight your way out, would you want to? Assuming you could begin with a set number of weapons, etc?

And if so, why?

The first film was kinda good I thought, I enjoyed it anyway. The sequel was terrible; yet for some reason I still enjoyed it; far more than 'better' films such as Matrix Revolutions and Underworld anyway (the only 2 films I regret paying to see at a cinema)...

Sure was, RE2 was better than RE1, but both were horrible deviations from the game and the book series.

I'd want to go there because I have enough guns, supplies, skills, and wits, to either get out, or at least have a damn good time before I go down. But I think I'd make it.

You'd have to balance staying light on your feet and moving constantly with carrying lots of supplies and ammo and hunkering down from time to time.

(I can typically carry about 80-90 pounds of ammunition, but it really weighs me down and i get tired fast, so I usually go with at least 6 magazines for a rifle, no more than 12, and then probably 6-10 magazines for a pistol, then a combat knife)

It's because the RE films realized that the only reason people went to go see them was for the gunplay and violence, something that the other films didn't realize, and hence, became to philosophical and pretentious.

Yes, simply because I've always wanted to be 'that guy who fucks everything up for everyone else'. You know the one I'm talking about, the one that lets the lets all the zombies into the secure compound, or a hells angel who recks the sheltered life a group of people have made for themesleves inside a shopping centre. I think I'd do quite well in this role...

I'd be the survivalist guy who only works with 2-3 other survivalists and shuns working with folks who've never even touched a gun before.

I'd want to be there to test my survival skills, and see the end of the world. (I didn't choose the first option, I did the third)

You're all missing the point. The shops wouldn't be being tendered.......

You could make a fortune assuming you chose a route which involved lots of guns. And if I am to believe video games, there will only be one route out anyway. And it will have plenty of weapons, conveniently placed 10 minutes before I need them.

I'm talking, you have what you can reasonably find, and what you start with. There won't just be guns lying in the street, unless they're on police and other armed folk, who had fallen in combat against the zombies.

Now I am only familiar with the first Resident Evil game and the Silent Hill series.

Are the green monsters that appear out of nowhere and run really fast included in this, or is just the lumbering monsters? Also can I get a radio that gets really staticy when a zombie is around?

Needing clarification. Because blowing the shit out of zombies would be fun, but I am really adverse to being ambushed and eaten.

I would if it weren't for the fact that I'd probably be the first out of anyone to die. So, no.

If I wasn't already there when the outbreak started then I wouldn't go, but if I was there then I would make the best of it. I may be an evil pinko commie liberal who doesn't like guns, but even I can see their use in fighting off zombie hordes. :mp5:

Plus I could do a spot of looting on the way out. ;)

Seeing as I Am A Ninja-Pirate and a Nazi-Vampire-Zombie Slayer...Yes.

I bet the rest of you don't even have a shotgun and bunker in your basement in case of zombie attack.

Well, speaking literally as Upper Xen (my browser is freaking out-again  ), I would say yes. If anything, it would get me a chance to try out lots of interesting weaponry on zombies, and put those skills in the Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks into practice.

Especially, I want to see how an M1911A1 and a Rossi Puma .38cal+P Carbine would do here, I've fired both. The looting is a bonus.

Plus, who doesn't love killing zombies? :)

Yeah... in that sort of situation, I'd probably end up shooting myself in the head. So, no. No zombie-infested cities for me.

Yes. It allows me to work alone, and use all the skills I had learned at a time. It depends how I'm armed out as well. I suppose I could deal with an M4, even though I hate it. If I had my choice, I would take an AN94 as a rifle and a CZ-99 as a pistol. Give me the ammunition I need and I'll be cool. Also, I think the zombies would go down easier than in the games-a shot to the head will do that, even if they are the living dead. Also, my name is Nikolai, so....ring a bell to anyone who played RE3? :D

Oh man, if only it were real, I wouldn't be called the biggest nerd on the block anymore. Why not just play paintball? People are smarter than fantasy zombies with half a brain.

I would survive in RE simply because I can run and the zombies can't climb ladder and the weapons and loot and fun is iresitible. But a scarier world would in dawn off the dead, the new one, The zombies can out run kenyans and are damed more dangouruse

Other reason: To assist the zombies, open doors for them, unlock gates, hide ammunition so people cannot find it. etc...

I would kill my way through the city with one goal. To find the bastard who left all those puzzles behind him and put a bullet in his head.

Also I would want the city set to easy difficulty so I would have that M-16 that never ran out of ammo. sweeeeeeet.

Okay, supposing that my city wouldn't be nuked, only quarantined, here's what I'd do.

-Pack up.
-Jack a ride.
-Pick up any of my friends not infected.
-Kill Philip! (Just had to do that)
-Hit a gun store (Shotguns, Revolvers, Rifles)
-Drive to a mall
-Baricade ourselves in the food court (Hey, we gotta eat)
-Wait for this whole thing to blow over.

VE, it's utterly amazing when you and I can actually agree on something.
Anything gun related.

And yes, I'd be there, that would be like the coolest thing ever.
But seriously, yes.
Although I'd througly prefer being dumped into the Doom universe (From the beginning), as based on the books. That would be so much cooler.

Ironically, I do. The bunker is a holdover from the the house was built in the 60s (Cold War fright) and my dad keeps his shotgun in it.

I live in a basement bunker, so take that.

No seriously, it's an appartment now, and I live in it.
No shotgun though, just some nasty blades, including a 1915 bayonet, and an old hatchet.
Shotguns are no fun compared to those two.
