Hell no.

You'd just wither away. :( Love gives you a reason to be here. I suppose a person could be here for some other, loveless purpose, like vengeance or something, but I don't think they'd last too long.

What about those Japanese guys on the pacific islands who didn't know the war was over? They held out for ages.

They had love, they loved themselves and held on the the hope of love when they got to go home.

Love and music are the last bastions of magic left in the world embrace them!

It' not living if done without love. Simply breathing doesn't count.

A long time ago they experimented on infants at an orphanage. The babies that weren't cuddled and touched died even though given other care. This was a couple of hundred years ago I think. Back when they were called "foundling hospitals."

Sure you can function without love. You just need something to give you drive, and love is only one of many things that can do that. Greed is another good one, vengeance too, hatred... Love's just the only one that most people think of as 'good'. Quite worrying that it shows up in a list with all these really bad ones, isn't it?
