Gun Owners/Collectors: Post your stuff here (Picture warning)

People were posting threads about the most attractive women from various countries, but can only women be beautiful? I should think not. Indeed, many guns are very pretty too. :)

So here goes...

Fellow gun collectors/owners, post your favorite guns here, or if you don't have pictures, describe them. (Anybody have a WW1 Artillery Luger, I'd really like to see one)

If you'd like, post links rather than pictures.

Here are mine, just about 1/10th of my stuff.

Common mistake is that any gun which looks like an automatic rifle, must be. They're all semi-automatic.

I shoot whatever seems good to be shooting at (trees, plants, dirt piles, ant-hills, empty aluminum cans, full cans, etc)

I guess I'm not skilled in weaponry, cause I probably dont even know the difference between semi-auto and auto. Auto= you can hold down the trigger and it keeps firing? Semi -auto does what?

*looks completely unintelligent in this thread*

Semi= each time you pull the trigger, it fires once.

Semi-auto means that it cycles out the spent shell and loads a new one. So there is no action needed between trigger pulls unless your magizine runs out.

I have a couple bushmaster AR-15s, a couple chinese sks's, a couple 22's, and a 357.

I have a blast target shooting with my dad and my brothers. We usually have a tournament from about 50 yards, then at 100 or 150. Shorter with the sks's and maybe longer with the ar15's. The other day I lined up 10 .223 shells and picked the off from 50 yards. The ar15 is definitely my favorite for accuracy, reliability and because I'm a former paratrooper in the 82nd. I think it just takes me back to my crazy hay days. (only 4 years ago)

I can honestly say I don't know why ANYONE would want a drum mag or a C-clip, they're just a waste of space, weight, and time.

I shoot whatever seems good to be shooting at (trees, plants, dirt piles, ant-hills, empty aluminum cans, full cans, etc)

And I thought I was the only one that loved to shoot at ant hills!

I've got a sweet little Lee Enfield sniper rifle, 1915 vintage, on it's way into my hands. Origonal wood and barrell, the scope's been refurbished though. It even has the notches where the sniper carved hin his kills on the stock (Yep, a rifle that has actually killed someone, or 120 to be exact).

the first one's an airsoft BB gun anyway, so it wouldn't matter.
Finding a minign that fires anything more then BB's and can be held in your hands without a stand is impossible.
I hate to tell all the kiddies out there, but Predator was wrong. Cool, oh my gods that movie was cool, but wrong.

Every squad needs a man to serve as SAW gunner, and that man ought to be carrying 5-6 drum magazines, at least.

The Squad gunner usually carries a box mag setup, not drums.
And besides, that's just an AK (74 or 100 series? Hard to tell at that quality of image) not an RPK.
You're basicly running around with a useless drum on a semi-auto rifle, I'd understand if it was an RPK.

We have to make do with what we have. Put a bipod on it, loaded out with 100 round drum, and in a pinch if the SHTF, you can convert it to full-auto in a few hours. Anyway, ideally we'd have an RPK, but hey, those aren't always just lying around.

Besides, other folks I know have things like M-249s and Fn-Mags, so we're good to go if we had to.

I'd take a good old bolt action with a scope any day over a SAW, personally.
But I'm one sneaky little bugger anyway, hell of a shot also.

But seriously, is that a 74 or 100 something series AK?
I've had some fun with the 74's, they're much more accurate and easier to fire then the 47's, but I've never experianced any of those newer 100's they came out with.

Must be one of those bran-fangled-new 47's, with the plastic stock.

If you wanna take a personal reccomendation for the next AK to get, and are looking at the 100 series, go for the 103. I hear really really good things about that gun, plus it's got a nice large calibre.

My buddy's canon could shoot a frozen orange through 3/4 inch plywood from 100 yards. It was 12' long, powered by propane and oxygen and had electronic remote ignition.

From 100 yards it could also fire a metal arrow through an 8" thick tree. (not into...through)
From 180 yards a ball bearing through a cinderblock wall.
It could shoot a potato across the lake ind into the golf course, approximately 750 yards.

Sadly, there are no pictures, as apparently ABS is flamable when using oxy-acetlene. Good thing it had remote ignition, but it is now in the landfill.
