To start off, I'm a runner. I listened to one playlist, dubbed, "The Mix." The music was my time piece, my way of calculating speed. So I had an idea--I noted the time of each song, and then created a new playlist, composed of songs with the same run time. This I call "The Faux Mix." Below are my results:

So what I would like to see is for you to do the same--take a playlist, and create a new one using songs with the same length, and post the original and the new one. If you do not have a song that fits in its place, you may add or subract as many seconds as are neccessary to get a song to fit, but you must then add or subtract that same amount from the next song so that the playlist is the same length. This is a lot easier if you have a large music library, but good luck!

Hum. That actually sounds rather interesting. I might do it sometime, though I can't be bothered to do it right now because it also sounds like a lot of work.

It is actually really easy. I use iTunes, so all I had to do was go to my library, and highlight the song. Then I clicked time, and once that was done, it was very easy to see what other songs had the same run time. Just do that for a small playlist, and you're done.

I don't have an ipod or amac so I don't use it.

Using the glory of Napster v2.0 BETA 10.4 (oldskool representin etcetc) I put all my mp3s in order from shortest to longest and then went down the time list. I don't have all that many songs, but there are quite a few that are the same length. I don't have a mix to start with, so theres not much point in me listing a bunch of random songs that I know have the same length as another song.
