As of now Fass is my hero and favorite NSer. Thank you! I would take a bow, but someone would have to help me straighten back up. Oy!

You must know me. I have a story for everything. I'm really not a ball-buster. I've always been kind, sweet, compassionate, loving, and eternally cheerful. As long as you don't piss me off.

I'm stumped...I can't think of an "I remember when" story to demonstrate what a sweetie I am. Maybe I'm not a sweetie?

Nah...that's not my style. I figure the best way to get even with someone who has made you angry is to show them special kindness. They either come over to your side or you piss them off even worse.

Another thing is that after several years of inadvertently embarrassing ourselves, we finally get to the point that we don't give a rip any more. My philosophy is, if you see something you've never seen before, you can shoot it.

I've told this one before, so you might have heard it. Back in 1969 I went off to college. As it was my first year, I had to be on campass a week or so early. As soon as I got there a couple of kids asked if I wanted to skip all the "how to" classes and go to a concert they had seen a flier on. So off I go on a road trip...to Woodstock. It was wet, cold, muddy, and crowded...I loved it!! Some of the folks there were taking pictures and filming. I managed to be filmed dancing wearing a rain-wet t-shirt. Of all the film in the world, THAT'S the one that ended up on the news (black bar appropriately placed across my chest) for my folks and everyone in my hometown of 600 people to see. I lost my car for a whole semester...but it was worth it.

The ultimate part of the story came years later. My husband and I had never mentioned my "indiscretion" to the kids. One day we had on one of those Woodstock documentaries and the film of my little dance was in it. My oldest grandchild who was about 3 at the time, took one look and said "Grandma!! That's you!! Where's your bra?"
