Discovery Channel
In all documentarys on the channel English is the main language and often if not all the time they use subtitles when people of other nations are talking so the English speaking public can understand them. They even put in English subtitles when people are speaking "dead languages" but when it comes to German they do not use it. My question is why?
In documentarys about WWII the language is English but when X German soldiers are talking about the war there are no subtitles.
I speak German and understand what they area saying but people that do not speak German do not. Is this a propaganda tactic of the English?
A person can get a better understanding of the war by hearing both sides and thus are not ignorent of the facts but most people pick one side and stick with that side all the time and dictate to others total crap when talking about the war.
I say put English subtitles when Germans are speaking German in the shows.
People will get a better understanding of what it was like in Germany in that time and maybe more open minded.

That's pretty weird that they don't translate the German on the Discovery channel. Oh well IMHO the discovery channel stinks as a source of information anyway...
