Fear of something is the begining of knowledge? So fear of black people is the begining of knowledge about black people? That's worked really well for the Klan so far. Fear of the world our grandchildren and their grandchildren's children will inherit has done wonders for how we use and treat the world and the other people living in it. Yeah, right. I thought knowledge was settled with the apple. That he wasn't too keen on knowledge...which has always been a little problematic for me. I hit the same hiccup in Taoism, but that was just through random reading so I probably have it wrong on both accounts...

Fear of the lord means you know what he can do when you sin and what can happen after you die. You know of his wrath so therfor worship him and obey his commandments so that your soul shall be saved. Also if you read the book of revelations only the people who obey gods commandments will be saved by yeshua when the time comes. oh ya and not have the beasts mark =P. So obviously with the obove statement it is meaning that when you start being a 'god fearing' man then all truth shall be known to you because god is the one true god. Or at least thats my interperatation of it. Now comon people i'm not even a christian or catholic or even agnostic and I can tell you people, yet you'r so ignorant that you can't even comprehend it. Once you start studying religions or philosophy then come back here and start talking about it otherwise don't even try. (exept for a few people in here who know something)

dude, the people were building the Tower to GET CLOSER TO GOD! they wanted to get closer, they wanted to see Him, they wanted to understand. to punish them, God smashed their efforts and made them unable to communicate and learn from one another.

Those are killings, certainly, but if they are carried out by God they are by Christian definition not unjustified or illegal killings, and as such aren't murders.

yes, a murderer will often admit that while he did kill somebody, it doesn't count as murder because it was justified.

in America, we don't let the perpetrator be the judge of whether his act was murder. we also don't allow his family members to make that decision. Christians, as the "children" of their God, are clearly not in any position to judge whether or not those acts were murder.

I'd say that it depends on the situation tho.

If you are someone who knows nothing at all about a certain subject, but you go shoving your opinion in peoples faces and claiming that it's right dammit, then yes, keep your mouth shut please.

However, people offering their 2 cents gives an overall increase to the disscusion. I mean, get however many cents it is and you've got a dollar. :D Every little helps, and who knows, someones random little thought could be a viewpoint you've overlooked. You won't know unless they post it.
