... how far should people carry that?

Case in point (http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20050225/ap_en_ce/thompson_death_wife_5), Hunter Thompson's widow who has revealed that he was on the phone to her when he blew is brains out...

His suicidal talk put a strain on their relationship, she said.

"He wanted to leave on top of his game. I wish I could have been more supportive of his decision," she said. "It was a problem for us."

WTF? This woman thinks she should have supported the person they loved in their desire to blow their head off? and it was just a bit of a "problem" for them?

You know - if I ever talk about killing myself, please please PLEASE do not "be supportive". Get me the help that I obviously need!!
