I heard the Russian Red Army Choir singing Battle Hymn of the Republic.

That's like Hitler saying the Emancipation Proclamation.

Bad analogy. It's more like Churchill reciting Hitler's speech from the Nuremburg Rally.

It's like a good choral organization singing mediocre choral music!

They also do a mean version of "Knocking on Heaven's Door". Particularly for representatives of an officially atheist nation.

I never heard of the Russian Red Army Choir, but it doesn't sound too good.

Get it?

Ever heard of Gregorian Masters of Chant?
"Losing my religion," "Imagine," "Angels" and more are in their repetoir. It's funny but good. I love their version of Wish you were here.

You don't have to be from a religious country to sing music with religious content. You don't have to be American to sing music by Americans. Music transcends stupid politics and stupid religion! Well, sometimes anyway.

I have to admit, they do sing it pretty well.
