The chili burger from the original Tommy's here in LA. If it's not the shack, it's not really Tommy's.

the cheeseburger from Chipmunks, on the 400 block of Diversey in Chicago, is probably the best post-sex meal you can have.

There is no such thing as an 'awesome rib place' in LA.

A local, halal based burger bar near me (I am atheist so don't need to eat halal btw) does the best burger on the face of the earth. It is called the Greedy Burger. At King's, Lower Earley, Reading, Berkshire. It has two quarter pounder beef, chilli sauce, a dollop of donner kebab meat and salad. DIVINE!

This thread has given me an unexplainable urge to start another thread entitled "the big bugger debate" on whether or not homosexual relations are a sin.
But I won't.
I MUSTN'T!

As for takeout, I am digging on the Western Angus Burger from BK lately. But the best burgers by far, are the ones we make here at home. Thick and juicy with just a little seasoning sprinkled on and served with your choice of condiments. I like mine either with just ranch dressing (no bun), or the works - pickles, ketchup, mustard and tomato and cheese.

Off to find breakfast...

Donner Kebab? Is that what the Donner party ate when they got trapped by snow in the mountains? I didn't know that was Halal.

Man...ALL burgers are good! McDonald's Mig Mac, BK's Whopper...It's all good.

However, there is only one KING...Fudrucker's 1lb Custom Burger! (Is salivating now)

A little aside to politicians trying to ban fast food: Do NOT even try! It is my civil right as a citizen of the US of A! If I want to kill myself with a heart attack inducing double-quarter-pounder WITH cheeze, I have every right to do so!

A restaurant near here makes burgers with 500g patties. There are single, double and triple burgers. I like the double, with fried onions, lots of cheese and barbeque and mustard sauce. A friend always takes a triple (rare) with just ketchup, but i think he is just a greedy pig with no taste. :D

The biggest buggerer is clearly the dude in the "Wake Up with the King" commercials. You know, the one where the "King" sneaks into some guy's bed and tries to slip him the ol' sausage crossianwich.

Christ, it make Spongebob look straighter than John Wayne.

home made are the best >_>

If, and only if, you make 'em right.

For commercial burgers:
1) Da Hawaiian Kitchen - a small shop in Shikoku - I personally reccommend the Kahuna burger - 3 300gm patties, cheese, bacon, and the works.
2) Kua'aina Burger
3) Fudrucker's
4) Mos Burger

Now there was a man's man.

You know, I've never understood that phrase. I guess it means something like "a man among men," but if you compare it to "ladies' man," that's not what it means at all.

That's why I chose it. I agree, it's a pretty confusing statement.

Fatburger!! (I wish they were here in CT...)

Also, if you're ever in New Haven, CT, stop by Louis Lunch. At least legendarily, the home of the 1st burger.

"One day in the year 1900 a man dashed into a small New Haven luncheonette and asked for a quick meal that he could eat on the run. Louis Lassen, the establishment's owner, hurriedly sandwiched a broiled beef patty between two slices of bread and sent the customer on his way, so the story goes, with America's first hamburger."

Donner? You mean Döner...

I wouldn't know which burger, heck, the only ones here are MacD or Burger King, but there BK wins hands down. The MacD fries are a joke, and the burgers are a bit tiny.

On the other hand, if you freeze up a BK burger... you can technically beat someone's skull in with it.

Eh.. Bellflower's south of Long Beach, not too close to Hollywood..

Anyhow, my two picks for Southern California would be:

1.) The Hat, any location (Upland, Azusa, and like 10 others, I think)

2.) Mega Burger, Dana Point. 12 Beef patties, 10 slices of cheese, 8 strips of bacon, etc. Excellent.

It wasn't there when I lived in Woodley, But that was the late sixties early seventies.

We don't have much demand for burgers here. Sirloin steak or fillet mingon are more common (and generaly cheaper as they need less preparation.)

So, I sit back and smile at the thought of all this debate over lesser quality beef.

Made with fine ground beef from the butcher's. I marinate mine in Belgian beer. (I live there, so it's not that much of an expensive waste).

If I'm eating out, I'll get an XL Bacon Double Cheeseburger from Burger King.
If I'm going homemade, I'll get an aberdeen angus mince burger with back bacon, sausage, possibly a fried egg, lettuce, processed cheese slices, and maybe some melted cheese (whatever's in the fridge), with HP at one end and ketchup at the other. Grrreat.
