Ok, I'm a little confused. Why is the media not making a big thing over the scandal involving John Guckert/Goeff Gannon?

If you don't know, (or can't remember), he was the dude who got into the White House Press Room and asked a whole bunch of "questions" that were really just an excuse to make the George Bush government look good. Now I don't mind the bias as much, because several reporters who attend these conferences are openly slanted to a particular political spectrum. What concerns me is the fact that somebody with no actual credentials and a blatantly false press card managed to gain easy access to the White House. Doesn't this strike anybody else as a little suspect? Why the hell isn't the so-called Liberal Media riding this story like a bitch?

Because said fake reporter had just as much credibility as Dan Rather. That's why the media won't touch it.

I don't think it's very fair to say that he had as much. I'd say Dan Rather had quite a bit more, being, you know, like a real journalist. That doesn't mean to say that he didn't piss it away over a stupid attempt to break some hot news without looking very hard at the "evidence".

How is Gannon a fake reporter? He writes for a website. And he didn't sneak into the White House. He got a Day Press Pass. Practically any journalist can get a Day Press Pass.
