Is anybody else out there jealous and desperate. I find myself skeeming ways to start a thread that will be wildly successful without going the usual route of EUROPE vrs. AMERICA or GEORGE BUSH IS THE DEVIL.
Does anyone else crave having one of those 3,000 posts threads?
I have tried a few thread topics, all have been pathetic failures, my self-esteem in the forum world drops everyday. Am I alone in this feeling?
Am I extremely Californian for treating this like a therepy session?

Make a thread called GEORGE W. BUSH IS THE ANTI-CHRIST AND COMMUNISTS ARE GODLESS IDIOTS. But make sure the thread has nothing to do with the title. The title will, if nothing else, attract a lot of attention. :D

Or, if you REALLY want attention, call your thread "GAYS ARE EVIL, COMMUNISM SUCKS, AND ALL LIBERALS WILL BURN IN HELL"

I think this thread is more likely to make it thn that one....you have to at leas *pretend* that you are earnest and misguided, so that a bunch of political bigwigs will show up on your thread and try to enlighten you, and the rest of the world. These will inevitably dissagree, and your thread is off to the races!

yeah, I was thinking about this. By being blatently provocative without real earnestness I can't hope to attract a real debate. But then again, if I do write something provocative to get the bigs numbers I take a real risk of appearing a real idiot. I guess it depends if I am willing to sacrifice my reputation simply to get the big numbers.
